“Hey,” he says loudly, pointing his spoon dramatically in Zeke’s direction across the glowing embers. “Remember that time, back when you first became Alpha, when you tried incredibly hard to flirt with that high-ranking Fae ambassador during the treaty meeting and she instantly turned you down because she thought you were… what was that exact phrase again…” He snaps his fingers several times, trying to jar the memory loose. “Ah, yes! She thought you were ‘Too short and had the scent of a horny teenager.’ Remember?”
