she said, flipping through some papers, "according to the scans we ran, you've got some pressure buildup behind your right ear. Did you get a kind of ringing sound before the crash?"
I tensed. "Yeah... that."
She looked up, meeting my eyes. "It's called Tinnitus Vestibular Dysfunction. Basically, it messes with your balance and hearing. The ringing isn't just in your head... It's a nerve issue. Sometimes it's caused by repeated head trauma, or extreme stress, or a neurological condition that affects the ear and brain's coordination."
