Kicked From The Hero's Party Novels & Stories

“Operation: Uncover Earnest’s Secrets is officially underway. And you, my dear, are no longer investigating alone. We’re a team.” Her declaration, simple yet profound, was exactly what I needed to hear. The loneliness that had been my constant companion began to recede, replaced by a shared purpose. The path ahead was still shrouded in uncertainty, but now, walking it didn't feel quite so terrifying. With Chloe by my side, I felt a renewed sense of strength, a quiet resolve to face whatever lay hidden in the shadows. The investigation was no longer just mine; it was ours. And that made all the difference in the world.

Poor creatures, so proud that they could not accept that they were wrong, that they made a mistake. And that would be our undoing. The dagger suddenly pierced my shield. All magic fell apart, as if it were simple dust. I blinked, confused. When I managed to fix my eyes on the room, I noticed that the dagger was right on the jugular of one of the council members. "What happened?" I asked, stunned. Everyone looked at the dagger with fear. Each and every member, including Kyo and Kaos. Had I missed more than I thought? It seemed.

I abandoned Malachi and turned to Hailey, cupping her face in my hands, i whispered, "of course you're worth it. I won't hesitate to deal with anyone who hurt you including myself, do you understand that?" Hailey nodded, blinking the tears that had accumulated in her eyes. It was as though Hailey had the ability to calm me down. It surprised me that my body listened to her. I held her hands and turned back to face Malachi. I took a deep breath to calm myself as I was vibrating in anger. "Malachi Jackson, from today, your title as the beta of Blood moon pack has officially been withdrawn from you. And from today onwards, you're no longer a member of this pack. I cut all ties with you."

It was obvious Kieran was trying to get him flared up and it looked like it was working. "I Alpha Kaidon and my wife Aliaria alongside my Beta Dawson hereby declare to this entire room that we will no longer be participating in any tournament. We will take our leave from this moment on ward." Kaidon announced to the council. The door opened and my eyes widened seeing the soldiers of Silver Moon Pack troop into the room. In their middle was a man dressed in a black long robe and the staff of office of the Alpha. "Rudolph." Dawson said to me.

Shit. My father forgotten, I sprint back toward the party and toward my mate while opening a link to my pack members who are here and the King’s Guard. “Prepare for battle! Rogues on the approach!”

My shoulders stiffen again. “For your courage in returning to Lifgard despite the danger, for the information you've given us regarding the ancient gates, and for your efforts in escaping your captor, we have taken your circumstances into consideration.” My heart gives a small, foolish lift. “You are hereby stripped of your hunter status and expelled from the Order.” The lift dies. “All in favor?” One by one, every hand in the chamber raises. I can't breathe.

My mate, David, was hailed as the most generous wolf in our pack. He donated his entire ten-thousand-dollar monthly salary to the wolf orphanage. He didn't keep a single cent for himself. The heavy mortgage, his parents' expensive herbal medicines, and the pack academy tuition all fell squarely on my shoulders. I had to pay for everything using my salary as an emergency room doctor. I worked several forty-eight-hour night shifts in a row at the pack hospital. My inner wolf was utterly exhausted, but my salary was never enough to cover our expenses. Having no other choice, I tried to talk to David. "When you get paid next time, could you leave just a little bit of money for us?" To my su

“I lost the vote against inviting him to the festival. We have decided that all pack leaders must be present at the festival, Leonidas included.” Alpha Gunner didn't like this. “That bastard. I hate him with every fibre of my being.” Out of nowhere, I accidentally spilled Alpha Gunner's tea on his lap. I covered my mouth with my hands, my body shaking in fear. “I-I'm sorry—” Alpha Gunner didn't let me finish. His big hand connected to my face, smacking me down to the floor. “Pathetic,” he spat on me and walked out of the dining hall.

I didn't feel his struggle, but I felt the jolt through my own ribs as Leo reacted to my touch. BOOM. A violent burst of gold static erupted from where our hands met. The Southern Alpha was hurled backward, his fur singed, his eyes wide with a terrifying realization as he hit the basalt pillar. The alliance was gone. The Mercy-red icons on the map turned black. "We aren't waiting for her to come back." I looked at the dark fissure, then at the man who had provided the marrow for this war. I made an active decision—the first one that didn't involve running.

I’m growing weak. Is that spray wolfsbaned?? I tried to shift to my wolf and defend myself and my friend but I couldn’t summon my wolf. My kneels grew weak and I fall to the ground. I tried crawling or reaching my phone but got kicked in the stomach by Katie. Her hysterical laugh, the sound of her boots on my head , and Amy’s screams was the last thing I heard before darkness consumed me.
