He didn't have to worry about getting sold like I did. "Adriana Amrita O' Knight, get your butt down here right now!" My mother said as she was mad. She even used my damn middle name. That was always a scary point for me and my brother. If we got the middle name by any of our parents we knew they meant business. Usually we would cave by then but I'm 18 years old I can do what I want. And right now that was sitting in a kids tree house."No not till you and dad tell me I'm not getting married." I said. "Adriana would you stop being a child for once!" My mother said."I'm not a child mother!" I hissed leaning my head out the window sounding just like a child."Adriana please..." she requested."Te

As she slumped on the sink recovering, she looked at her reflection in the mirror and thought about the conversation she was having with Aldo, the words that she almost said. It seemed that for a moment she forgot that she had been kidnapped and up until now she had been scheming to escape. ‘Snap out of it, Sarah. He is a criminal. Quit thinking that you love him. You can’t love someone involved with the mafia, talking less of a Don. They kill people. He is brainwashing you. Open your eyes.’ She told herself. She made her mind up, she had to leave before his promises of undying love corrupted her thinking any further.

She said but I barely heard a word she said after she mention Marcello. I was actually with Marcello Romano, the mafia king of Sicily! I started sweating, felt unable to breath so I rushed out of the café to catch some fresh air and wrap my mind around this earth shattering revelation. Marcello Romano took care of me. He could had taken advantage of me but he didn’t. Either, he’s only pretending to be a gentleman to gain my trust or he’s really a nice person and I have judged him wrongly. With these conflicting thoughts, I didn’t realize when it started pouring and I was about to rush back into the café when a van stopped and before I could understand anything, two masked men jumped out and

I refused to believe him and threatened him to stop his cheap tricks. Then he sent me your photo. I called him back and he told me to meet him the next day. I went to meet him the next day and I got shocked to see that it was Elijah ,the mafia boss. He informed me about your whereabouts and confessed to me that he kidnapped you as he desired to marry you. I was so mad at him that I didn't know what to do. I knew that nobody could help me as he was the mafia. He tried to make me understand his feelings but I refused to listen to him and

"Fuck you, Kalixo. The moment I escape from here, I will make sure you end up behind bars. It seems like you're the mastermind behind the escalating kidnappings. You're a demon." He remained silent, as if accustomed to hearing such words from my mouth. After a moment, he took out his phone. Then he showed me a video, where my mother was crying while being embraced by my father. The footage showed our visit to the police station, our departure from the house, and even Cedrick. I felt an unfamiliar anxiety in the presence of the Kalixo before me. He wasn't the enemy and businessman I knew. "Mafia... I will have all of you hunted down!"

How can one man have this much enemies? That was when Xavier opened his eyes. Khalil held Jade back from reacting. With a groan, he tried to get up but realized he was tied up. “Fuck!" He growled. “Well, well, well.” The king roared with laughter. “Guess who I have at my feet.” Xavier finally looked up. “Mustafa,” He smiled. “Son of a bitch.” Xavier breathed. “The Mafia Lord himself,” Mustafa took delight in seeing him suffer in the ropes. “Get him up.” The king ordered.

They know the boogeyman has arrived. “No!” I throw myself in front of him, my left hand gripping the hand which held the gun tightly, my right hand wrapped around his waist, using my entire body as a shield between his weapon and the children. “No, Lorenzo! You can as well kill me before you kill them! They are babies! They don’t know anything about shipments, or routing numbers or mafias! They are innocent!” “They carry the blood of the Luccheses, Nadia,” he growls, trying to shove me away, but I cling to him with the strength of a possessed woman.

"Is he dead? Is my father dead?" "No. He was taken and will be returned after you wed Fabian Belucci." "Who took my daddy?" My tears spilled. She wiped them with her thumbs. "Tell me! Let's go to the police! Why are we not going to the police?" "Mija, these people own the police. Your father was taken by the Mafia." Dio! Chris and Frank were right. I am a Mafia bride! "They came in the middle of the night... a dozen armed men. They beat up anyone who got in the way and took Giovanni. I don't know whether you understand this mija but you are a Mafia Bride. You can't run away from it. The only way out is if we all die. If that happens, we will be free but everything we own goes back to the Maf

I raised a brow at her and smirked. "We're the knight Ryder's darling. Her eyes slowly widen as she glanced around the room with cautious. "Mafia king?" She asked out loud with confusion. "Yes darling. Mafia king." I repeated. She stared at me with wide shocked eyes and I smiled at her. "Me."

I can't believe my brothers murderer is this close and I can't do anything, my heart stung as I continued wiping the table. “Five million by Friday,” the Italian murmured his voice cracking “Cash” A pause then his deep, low and dangerous voice came“You think money fixes betrayal?” the Italian flinched, his grip tightening on the glass of vodka he was holding “It's not betrayal pakhan It’s… a misunderstanding.” “You gave my shipment route to orlov men.” Mikhail’s words were barely heard but were sharp and radiating danger “That is not a misunderstanding that is suicide.”
