Dawn of the Gods

Dawn of the Gods

Seven Killings stopped smiling and slowly closed his folding fan. They continued to stare at each other until the tension in the air resembled the mood in the tavern yesterday. The ten or so disciples of the Order and the twenty or so Devil's Practice cultivators were both terrified. To them, one was the God of Murder who betrayed the Orthodox Path and the other was the God of Blood that even devils were afraid of. If nothing else, they were sure that these two were anything but allies. Everyone understood their reason to be here: the extraordinary treasure. If these two start fighting, there would likely be no survivors among them.

continued Kali, “that this is only the beginning of many more. And so that the right people get this message . . . I am the goddess of Death.” “Ma’am?” asked the operator. There was no response. “Ma’am?” the tinny voice asked once again. But there was not a living soul present in the room to answer. As soon as she had finished speaking, Kali had set the connected phone down onto a coffee table and disappeared into the darkness, leaving behind nothing more than a death-filled, bloody nightmare. _____________________________

she asked Nix. Kord groaned. "Come on!" Kiema stabbed a finger in his direction. "Shut it, Nerdy Noah." She looked back at Nix. "Well?" "Then the gods and goddesses will once again rise to full power. And they will hunt you and all of your loved ones down. They will make you a message and example for everyone who thinks to rise against them." "Circle of the Reckoning, it is, then," Kiema said. "Back to Scarlet, Goddess of the Night, and assassination attempts," Asher said.

 Ruthless Alpha's Second Chance Mate

Ruthless Alpha's Second Chance Mate

I muttered in annoyance. "I'm a higher God and can do anything I want," he exclaimed. I rolled my eyes at his narcissism. "I think your a real prick and murdering bastard," I spat and jumped up onto his back and stabbed the knife into the base of his skull. Twisting it against his bones I heard him groan in pain. Yanking the blade out I started jabbing it into him repeatedly. The anger over Fillan and Lexi's death spurred me on as I went into a frantic spurt of savagery. Each hole I created shined a bright golden light. Lykaios turned himself and with narrowed eyes, I buried the knife to its hilt into his heart and his chest cavity exploded in a burst of golden light. Breathing heavily I sat

They did not expect that Brenna Abhaya actually planned so deeply, wanting to kill them all to swallow. "He's a cockroach!" Brenna Abhaya's face turned pale, and she shouted directly again. "You don't believe me, do you believe him!" "Ha ha, whether his calculations are true or not, you are all wise people, I can see clearly for you." Tadhg Walter smiled faintly and said. "Will the Thousand Gods holy magic, still want to find the original Killing Religion, tsk tsk, this kind of news, could it be fake?"

His Mate: The Dragon King

“Well, there were twelve gods and goddesses, I killed three and you killed one, leaving them with eight. There is Ramiel, god of thunder, Haziah, god of Ice, Selene, goddess of Love, Azura, goddess of water, Hades, god of the underworld, Alinta, goddess of flame, Aron, god of Hate and Noel, god of Earth.” “I see,” Asher nodded, “those are the ones still alive, right?” he asked and Alaric nodded. “Pardon me but how are you planning to go about the war with Ramiel? Sorry, Mariah told me your story,” he added when he saw Alaric’s shocked gaze. “Oh, she did.”

No. 1 Supreme Warrior

No. 1 Supreme Warrior

“If this young man could gather all the Nine Great Gods of War, this means that he has a very good relationship with them. We will be in big trouble if we anger the Gods of War because we killed him and if they find out that it was us who killed him!” Even the man in the first place on the killer list nodded in agreement. “It’s not that we are not confident in killing this guy, we’re just worried about the consequences when we anger the Gods of War. Putting other reasons aside, even if two or three out of the Nine Great Gods of War got angry and investigates this, we would definitely be dead!” Ken, Ivan, and the others finally realized what was happening. These originally cold-blooded and fe

Trial of Flame

Trial of Flame

Archived in the Living Library, Floor 3 💀 The Shattering of the Pantheon 1,000 years ago, the world was ruled not by kings, but by gods. Thirteen of them reigned, each governing one of the primal forces of creation: flame, time, mind, death, shadow, storm, and more. They were not merciful. They were not kind. They demanded worship, sacrifice, and obedience. Empires rose and fell by divine whim. Mortals lived in fear of the gods' cruelty disguised as justice. Until one of their own turned against them. Known only as the Godkiller, they were not born divine, but rose from mortal blood, wielding an unnatural power capable of severing divine essence from existence itself. It's said their blade

Kill Them With Kindness

Kill Them With Kindness

"Exorcising evil is our sacred duty, ma'am." Lucas, the mole-faced man, put on a profound, mysterious expression. From the cloth bag at his side, he took out an iron basin, poured in half a basin of what seemed to be ash, before lighting up a talisman and throwing it into the basin. Immediately, the ash ignited, sending up thick, acrid smoke as the iron basin rapidly grew scorching hot. "With the flames derived from the very sun, we shall purge this evil spirit! Ma'am, take off your son's shirt. I will apply these sacred ashes onto his navel and exterminate the evil spirit through fire!"

Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

“I do,” Mane had to admit that it was very impressive that Keira and Komfo Anokye possessed such rich veins of God Killing Energy. Yes, that’s right – God Killing Energy. God Killing Energy was a theoretical type of energy before – until a few millions of years ago. That was actually when the first god fell to mortals due to the combined efforts a few Scholars and some Energy Wielders. That was when God Killing Energy was first discovered. This energy was one that was neither Edict nor Chaos. And it wasn’t tangible like the former two to be used in a fight. However, it carried great suppressive effect. God Killing aura was a kind of aura that manifested when a person consumed the Godhead of

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm not sure there's a whole lot of novels where the protagonist is the god-killer from the first page, but the ones that explore that journey feel so distinct depending on the genre. 'The Poppy War' trilogy by R.F. Kuang is brutal in this regard—Rin's relationship with the Phoenix god isn't about slaying it so much as becoming its vessel and then wrestling with that power on a geopolitical scale. It's less about a clean kill and more about a horrifying symbiosis. The divine violence is intertwined with real historical atrocity, which makes it land heavier than a typical fantasy romp.

Then you have stuff like 'Godkiller' by Hannah Kaner, which takes a more traditional quest approach but with a tired, worn-out protagonist who's seen too much of it. It feels grittier, like killing gods is a messy trade. I tend to prefer the stories where deicide has consequences—like the world breaking down, or the killer becoming something they hate. The 'Mistborn' era one finale is a famous example of that, but saying more would be a spoiler. Honestly, a lot of 'best of' lists just focus on the power fantasy angle, but the more interesting books ask what you're supposed to build after you've torn heaven down.
