Without doubt, someone was killed and a part of that person is inside. “Give me that, uncle!” Allaya demands and her tone is sending chills on my back, a thing that never happened in my entire existence. Her pitch-black eyes are currently purple with flecks of red, and her voice did not sound like herself. It was probably Pandora the one that spoke. And Allaya is not yet aware what can happen if she cannot control Pandora. “Give that to me, now!” She orders and I find myself obeying, my body moving on my own.

Ayla said and sat down beside Charlotte on the couch. “You are awake?” Charlotte said after she had managed to take her gaze off the television screen. “Yes, mum; I have been reading this novel,” Ayla said with a gesture. “What’s it all about?” Charlotte said. “It’s about a princess who ran away from the palace because she was maltreated by her step-mum,” Ayla said and gazed at the television screen. “Really? How about her mum?” Charlotte said. “No, she doesn’t have a mother. She lost her mum during birth,” Ayla said. “That’s pathetic. I would also love to read the story when you are done,” Charlotte said.

Ayla's pov I ran till I could no longer feel my legs but I couldn't stop running. I didn't even know where I was going, all that was in my head was “run” and I just kept on running till my breath began to break. I dropped to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. All my life was a lie. All of it! I have been living a lie all these while, thinking I got people behind me meanwhile I got nobody. It was enough torture to walk in on my boyfriend making out with my little sister and now I just discovered I'm a hybrid?

A small, jagged rock had pierced the skin, causing a tiny pool of blood to form. She winced, cleaning the wound with her sleeve.

“I do not belong with them.” The man moved closer. His steps made no sound on the grass. “What is your name?” he asked. “Ayla.” “Ayla…” he said, like he was tasting the word. “That is a soft name. It fits a small thing like you.” I looked down at my feet, feeling nervous. “Who are you?” “Just a traveler,” he said, taking another step closer. “I am looking for a place to rest.” “This is the Bloodfang Pack land. You are not from here.”

The nurse told her. Ayla's eyes widened in horror as memories suddenly flooded back. “Oh God, oh God, no! We...we were going for ice cream...their birthday...then...then...The van! It pulled up and took them! My babies, oh no, my poor babies.” Ayla's frantic screams filled the room The nurse rushed to restrain her, “Miss Thompson, stop! You'll hurt yourself!"
