Kurt raised his hand and held my shoulder, giving me a once-over before asking with concern, "Anna, are you alright?" I shook my head and pushed him away. Although Kurt had agreed to break up, he made one request: that I wasn't allowed to leave the city. He said he needed to see me every day. I agreed, and Kurt thought I was someone who kept my word. He didn't know I could lie, too. So, one day, while he was at work, I found the handkerchief in his study. Without any hesitation, I grabbed my luggage and boarded a plane.

Diane asked faintly, already hyperventilating. “Just calm down, big sis. I’m certain we’ll find him. I’ll go and check again.” Lucas comforted his sister, but it was clear that even he didn’t believe his own words. “No, you stay here. I’ll go look for him myself. I need to clear my head anyway. He’s probably just really nervous and went to get some air or something.” Diane said. Before anyone could stop her, she got up and hurried out the door in search of her fiancé. She would not be able to bear the embarrassment if he turned out to be a no-show on their wedding day of all days.
