Her green eyes widened in sheer, unadulterated horror as she watched the dead King rise from the snow, holding his mate like she was the only thing keeping the world from spinning off its axis. Caspian sat up, bringing me with him, his arm locked around my waist, his silver eyes turning slowly toward the woman on the cliff. The Beast wasn't just awake. He was completely, terrifyingly whole. And as he looked at Morgessa, the smile that touched his blood-stained lips made my own blood run cold with dark, wild anticipation.

I heard the sound of hooves retreating as Kalden forced the maiden into the carriage, disregarding what she was saying about being able to fight and how she was tired of being treated like a damn glass pony princess. We were almost under the burnt overhang of tree canopies when I watched through my yellowed wolf eyes as one of the pale multi-limbed creatures leaped down and scurried toward us at breakneck speed before the hag hit it with a cacophony spell and the Hybrid seemed to crumple in on itself, standing so it was almost my height on it's huge, werewolf ish hind legs and letting out a guttural groan as more of the beings leaped down.

CHAPTER SIX Wednesday, 24 March, 1869 The closed cart rattled its way through a set of heavy iron gates. Ellen peered out of the small side window. Her insides quivered as she took in the leafy trees and a sliver of clear blue sky. She whispered its name: Belle Vue. An exotic sound so full of promise. Then came the first view. She gasped at its beauty, like a magical palace. It was so large, she couldn’t see where the two wings of the mansion ended.

Bella's POV It has been 2 days since Xavier had been to his London. He will be arriving tomorrow or the day after. I cannot wait to see him again. To tell the truth, I have missed him a lot. His caring words, his smile and his incredibly beautiful eyes. I missed them all. Currently I was in mine and Xavier's room, painting with the canvas, painting and paint brush that I found in the old storage beside the garden. I was painting Xavier's midnight black wolf with a night background and a full on the top. It was so beautiful. I painted this with my imagination and it came out awesome.
