Julian shot back, sarcasm dripping from every word.
I bit my lip, holding back the string of insults rising to my tongue.
"Don't waste your energy, Sara," Richard said quietly. "Our lawyers will sort this out. We've calculated what we think is fair, and I'm sure Lawrence has his own idea."
"What makes you so sure my idea is different from yours?" Lawrence asked, his voice suddenly tense.
Richard hesitated, shifting in his seat.
"You're probably right," Lawrence said, his tone darkening. "I must be exactly what you think—a carbon copy of our father. After all, I carry his name. What else could you expect from me but the vilest actions imaginable?"
