THE CURSED ONE

THE CURSED ONE

She wasn’t scared. Hesitantly Laura walked up to her knelt beside her leaving a respectful space between them enough not to startle her. She told the child. “I didn’t expect to see you here” Silence. Silver eyes stared at Laura. The girl slowly closed the book slowly and oddly tilted her head in an odd way. Old soul. Laura noted. Laura glanced at the book“Tale of Moon-born wolves”. “I loved that book, especially the one about the wolf who talked to the stars.” Laura whispered

Wedding Dream

Wedding Dream

One of Laura's hobbies was reading. She would spend her time by reading a book at the library when she had no classes or discussed something with her friends at the park. She was a long life learner who liked to gain more knowledge from books and others. Laura still remembered the first time she met with Frederick. Laura usually went to the library by herself without her friends because none of them liked reading books. When she was already in the library, she looked for a book that she wanted to read. She took a book that was written by David Hawkins entitled Letting go.

Claiming My Father’s Best Friend

Claiming My Father’s Best Friend

On a normal day, I would have peeked into my childhood bedroom, to see if things are as I left them when I left for college six years ago. “Ms. Volkov, I packed a plate for you.” I hear footsteps hurrying to meet me. It’s the cook, Laura. She’s been working for my family since I was a kid. I stop as the fifty-year-old approaches, her steps are frantic. “Laura, you didn’t have to.” “And have you missed out on this deliciousness? I knocked myself out when your mother mentioned that you were coming over.” After a deliberate hesitation, I reach out and grab the paperback. It’s warm and the scent of garlic sneaks into my nose. Laura always adds herbs to her meals.

MYSTIC HOLLOW (Homicide)

MYSTIC HOLLOW (Homicide)

Peter yelled almost in a whisper. "Come on pea brain, who's gonna know huh?" Laura said as Elena took the book and started opening it. "I read through some parts last night and was dismayed by what I saw. I know you guys would think I made it all up, so I decided to bring it here for you all to see for yourselves" Laura said as Alex came with the tray of food. He dropped it on the table as each took a bean cake except Elena who was engrossed with whatever she was reading from the book.

Healing the Ruthless Alpha

Healing the Ruthless Alpha

I should have held on to that dream rather than giving it up for a man like Cahir Armani. "Everyone can tell things aren't working out well between you two," Laura continued. Great, so people were gossiping about me now. "It's no surprise, really." Whatever Laura wanted to say, it would not be pleasant for me to hear. Had she come to goad me into 'trying' to love Cahir? Would she continue to nag at me to 'heal' her Alpha? I didn't want to hear any of it. I went back to reading my book as she reached into the basket at her feet and started to take out sandwiches and drinks.

I really loved this book. This was well crafted story with well developed character growth in both main characters. The story is full of twists and turns which will surprise most as well as deeply emotional. I would definitely recommend others to read this book.

Finished it in a couple of days, money well spent! The story is so good and it's very well written. It never gets boring or tedious to read, some stories are dragged out to the point I lose interest, but not this one. I really recommend it.

The Alpha's Scorned Bride

The Alpha's Scorned Bride

Ava's POV Victor didn’t react to the change in my tone. His voice remained even, almost conversational. “Laura is Mr. Hale’s final disciple,” he began, as if reciting something well established. “She has an impeccable reputation here and internationally. She’s the youngest porcelain restorer in the field and the most renowned. Every major collector and elite seeks her out.” Each word felt like a sharp, precise needle driving deep into me. “She’s always needed a proper assistant,” he continued. “I’ve seen your work. Your fundamentals are solid. You could handle the simpler pieces.”

The Villainess Wants To Make Baby First, Revenge Later!

The Villainess Wants To Make Baby First, Revenge Later!

"As long as I'm allowed to live, I can do anything." "I have people on you, so think carefully when you want to stab me in the back because I will find out first." "Yes, Your Highness." Then I asked Merri to accompany Laura to wash her face, then come back here again. I have to finish Laura's business tonight to get my sleep back. I saw her come out of my room with Merri's help as her legs were shaking violently, like those of a newborn fawn. 'Yeah, this is what differentiates between Laura and Sophie. Sophie is a haughty woman who has no common sense, and her only motivation is to achieve glory. Whereas Laura is a woman who wants to survive, like me.'

"It's some stupid children's book, but I need it." Indianna blinked and she looked at Laura with wide eyes. "A children's book?" "That's what I said," Lily nodded. "Do you know of any children's books about the Royals?" "We do, actually," Indianna said. "Laura gave it to me as a present," she rubbed her stomach, "for them." "I need it," Lily said immediately. "I've been researching something and I think the book is the key." "Researching what?" Indianna asked.

MESSIAH SALVATION OF THE OMEGA

MESSIAH SALVATION OF THE OMEGA

Melo grinned devilishly before going upstairs. Laura stared in amazement. She was confused and frankly jilted by Melo's words. Will Melo try to hurt her? “She couldn't do that, could she?” Her wolf stretched her limbs. She waved away the thought and went to the kitchen. Paulina wasn't around, only Gova was taking care of the kitchen today. “If it isn't the newest mother in town!” Gova teased as soon as Laura walked in. “Stop it, will you? I'm hungry” Laura said, rolling her eyes.

The Ex-Wife Guide: Mr. Fergerson Persists On Lavish Affection

“Tsk, tsk. You don’t know how lucky you are. You should be happy.” Laura glanced at the clock on the wall when she finished speaking. “I gotta go. I’m meeting Mason for dinner. Take this gift, Penny. Remember to call me if the man mistreats you. I’ll always have time for you. Bye-bye.” Laura had a fiery temperament. Penny found that funny. She gathered the things she had been given and placed them on the bed before blinking sleepily. However, she did not dare go to bed. Instead, she grabbed her phone and scrolled through various pages before finally sitting up when she saw a news article on Purvi Group.

I’m officially done with this book. I can’t even remember the names of all the characters. What happened to the doctor looking for the long lost heiress? Instead of adding unnecessary characters why not finish one plot and move on. I wish everyone would stop reading this book maybe author would fini

Frequently Asked Questions

Pavlina's character has this magnetic presence in literature that makes her stories unforgettable. One book that really stands out is 'The Glass Room' by Simon Mawer—she’s not the main focus, but her role as a free-spirited artist adds such depth to the historical backdrop. The way her personality clashes with the rigid societal norms of pre-war Europe is just brilliant. Then there’s 'Pavlina’s Journey' by Linda Holeman, a lesser-known gem where she’s the protagonist, navigating wartime struggles with raw resilience. The emotional weight of her decisions lingers long after the last page.

Another favorite is 'The Lost Time Accidents' by John Wray, where Pavlina appears as a quirky, time-obsessed scientist. Her eccentricities weave into the narrative’s themes of fate and memory. For something lighter, 'The Bear and the Nightingale' by Katherine Arden features a side character named Pavlina, whose folklore-inspired wisdom steals every scene she’s in. Each portrayal offers a fresh lens—whether it’s historical grit, sci-fi oddity, or magical realism—making her one of those names that pops up in the most unexpected, delightful ways.
