*LEON* When I last saw Vicky, my soul had followed after her. Now sitting in this office, I felt like a soulless shell, even though my situation was already precarious. Conrad's deal was just a scam. The snow fell lightly outside the windows of the war chamber, coating the black stone balcony in a fine shimmer of frost. The fire crackled behind Valerian as he stood with one hand resting on the edge of the long stone table, a scroll half-unfurled in front of him. The emblem of the Morello pack marked the parchment in dark crimson ink, bold and unapologetic. Alexandro had agreed to the neutral meeting, but the contents of the letter didn’t sit right with him.

Or at least as an acknowledgement, something to respect. I turned a corner too sharply and nearly collided into someone. A soft, familiar laugh met me as warm hands steadied my arms. “Well, well,” Madeline drawled, her copper hair tumbling over her shoulder as she grinned at me. “If it isn’t our brave Luna herself. I keep finding myself growing more curious about who you are and what you're trying to do, but trust me, you are catching Nolan’s eye. He's impressed by you. Had he not been, he wouldn't have allowed you to be in that room in the first place.”

He replied, "The wait is meaningful exactly because of the fleeting nature of the view. No one will cherish something that comes by easily or appreciate the beauty of it." She was surprised by his words, which seemed to allude to something else. Anyway, she wasn't in the mood for philosophical discussions. She rubbed her arm and grumbled, "It's freaking cold. I'm leaving." With that, she went back to land. Conrad had appeared on the beach without them knowing. He was secretly taking a lot of photos with his phone. He planned to show the photos to Lewis after the latter sobered up. It would serve as a peace offering in case he got into trouble for bearing witness to Lewis' drunkenness last ni

I never met this Connor guy but from just what I have heard here alone I have huge respect for him and how he treated Rosie. "He does... he did..." Tony tries to cover a growl with a cough, but he fails miserably and this has Rosie smiling. She places her hand on his chest and leans into him. "As I said earlier, Conner was like a brother to me, that was all." He nods giving her a gentle smile. "I know sweetheart. I didn't mean to growl. Zero is just being an asshole, ignore him!" Everyone in the room chuckles, including Rosie, before we sober up and come back to our reality.

Thomas asks Reina. Reina turns to Logan. “May I?” She asks pointing at the laptop. “Go right ahead.” Logan says moving out her way. Reina sits in front of the laptop and plugs a usb drive. “This will detect if the video went through any editing.” Reina says. “Cool!” Nancy says and looks around embarrassed. “Sorry” She says and we chuckle. “Don’t be, it is pretty cool.” Reina says, smiling at Nancy.

Carlos explains, filling the silence. He turns the radio on to a jazz music station, and Conrad tries not to laugh at him wiggling around the room. "That would be a great plan for me. I'd love to work on tracking people who have actually done something, not just following people who might have possibly done something forty years ago," Conrad rolls her eyes, her lip curling. She has made her distaste for following the political leaders clear, and she finds them all ridiculously dull. "Yeah, the one problem that might make me look a little bad for the position is the fact I haven't even been able to find the man who's trying to kill me," he chuckles, sliding the plate across the marble island
