Terry leaned forward slightly. “You trust him?” he asked.
Conrad chuckled softly, bringing the glass to his lips and taking a slow sip. “I don’t,” he said simply, “but so far he’s profitable.”
He rested the glass against his knee and looked out the window again. “Besides,” Conrad added casually, “we anticipated it.”
