Kade climbed to his feet like none of this had cost him anything at all. His eyes found mine over Luca’s shoulder, taking their time. “See you around.” He turned, then glanced over his shoulders. “Birdy.”

That was a conversation she was sure neither one of them wanted to have. “As you probably already know, Lycans are part of the apex predators and are at the top of the paranormal hierarchy. Unlike us, there are several different kinds of lycans. Going by Solomon’s indigo eyes, I’m going to hazard a guess that he has control over storms.” “What does that mean?” Lucia asked. That sounded cool and totally intimidating.

Until I was standing by the group of men. They became a blur, but I could see Leon as he came forward to where I stood, inching forever closer until I felt that I shouldn't move. Then his lips brushed lightly against my cheek in greeting, quick and soft. "Isn't this a surprise?" My dad said, "Leon's in the city, came on his own!" A surprise? It was a surprise to see him inside my house. I couldn't even feel my hands. Softly I cleared my throat, and Leon's green eyes caught mine in something that resembled a dare. His powers are phenomenal, and he isn’t even grown yet.” “Your son is a witch?” Mark queried. She laughed out loud at his calling Leo a witch but corrected him as if she was instructing a child, “We call males with the power, Warlocks. Usually, they are not as powerful as woman but because Leo is a demigod, he is more powerful than most high priestesses.” Cronos walked back in and told the others, “I asked Eric to stay with Gammy and Rose.
