From the mouth of the vaults below, a third wave of silver-armored rogue wolves poured out, not to fight but to plant heavy obsidian-tipped demolition spikes directly into the primary structural pillars of the tower. "They're blowing the foundations!" Silas shouted, his twin blades slicing through the throat of a rogue captain before he was forced to leap to avoid a falling granite archway. "I can hold it, " Elara whispered. Though her knees shook under the weight of the kinetic barrier she was maintaining above her brothers' heads.
