Julian shoved her away, his eyes still locked on me. A look of desperation filled his eyes. "Elara..." his voice became low, pleading. "I really know I was wrong. Can't you just give me one more chance? This life, I swear I'll do right by you. I won't make the same mistakes again." My heart skipped a beat. This life? Did he just say "this life"? Do I just watch over them in heaven?” God shook his head, “No, you will be given another chance at life, but it will have to be a new life in a different world.”
