Was this book telling me that I would have to kill myself to gain life? As I read and reread the words, I felt a hole in my heart. There was no doubt, but I also couldn't understand how I could come to life after... leaving. I looked around the room, amazed. “Rhea,” I called my wolf. “What is this book asking me to do?” For the first time, she was as perplexed as I was.

"They had families who loved them! Children who needed them! What do I have? What's my life worth compared to Thomas's three kids or Jennifer's infant twins?" "Your life is worth everything to me. I think about the fact that I've documented our entire journey from the beginning to now. The first book was testimony. It was survival. It was what happened to me and how I survived it. The second book was healing. It was transformation. It was what we built from the survival. This book is what comes after. It's what it looks like to live in the life you've built. It's what it looks like to choose someone for so long that the choosing becomes invisible because it's so woven into who you are. The working title is simply: Always. Because that's the answer to the question. That's the response to the daily choosing. That's what love actually means when you understand it completely.

I only calmed down when I boarded the plane. Whomever Leo liked, it was none of my business. After all, he and I were never going to get back together. With my mind at ease, I embarked on my journey. Within three months, I visited many countries and enjoyed various sights that I'd never seen before, despite suffering from cancer. Throughout my journey, I got to know many like-minded friends. I couldn't overcome my illness, but those were the best days I'd ever had. After the trip, I was admitted to the hospital the moment I returned. My body couldn't take it anymore. I asked someone to help me purchase a burial spot and waited for death.
