Fable Literary Genre Novels & Stories

Hello, everyone! This is XSkylar19. It has been a very interesting ride for me while writing Bane of the Dragons because (fun fact) this was my very first dragon genre. I know some of you probably disliked how everything turned out or how fastpaced everything happened but know that this was intentional as I couldn't drag the story on. Anyway, while this book becomes the first book for dragon genre, it certainly wasn't my first book in the fantasy genre.

There were other writers, researchers, news reporters, and editors who all co-existed to create Fable Magazine. Fable Magazine is the one magazine that has literally everything. New stories, tabloids, fiction stories, and poetry. It was one of a kind and I was proud to be a part of it. I just wished the others would respect me as one of them. I’ve been writing for the online magazine for over a year so it’s not like I'm inexperienced. “Sure,” I said, grabbing my purse off the ground and shouldering it. “I would love to.” “Great. You’re driving,” she said as she backed out of my office.

Most novelists struggle to have their debut novel published, but once published they often continue to be published, although very few become literary celebrities, thus gaining prestige or a considerable income from their work. Every novel worthy of the name is like another planet, whether large or small, which has its own laws just as it has its own flora and fauna. Thus, Faulkner's technique is certainly the best one with which to paint Faulkner's world, and Kafka's nightmare has produced its own myths that make it communicable. Zac said in a funny way but it seemed like Caroline didn’t enjoy the joke at all. Caroline glared at Zac with hatred. “Please don’t mind him” I said to end the awkwardness. She ignored me and moved forward towards the kitchen. “Well. Here is the spot where I usually find my daughters spoiling the food most of the times” my father giggled to make the environment funny. “Come on. Not all the times dad.” Anna laughed. The kitchen was an open galley style with top quality appliances, storage galore, all the cooking utensils you would find at home, and fabulous views.

“Make it a good one.” “Oh, I shall!” it chittered, and with a flourish, it conjured a new narrative pocket in our world. This one wasn't tiny. It was a full-scale, shimmering mirage that overlay a corner of the garden. It depicted a classic, sweeping fantasy epic—knights, dragons, a quest for a glowing mcguffin. But something was off. The knight kept tripping over his own cloak. The dragon was afraid of heights. The glowing mcguffin was just a very persuasive lightbulb.

Then, when I find out what it’s made of, I am nearly sick. As we eat, we talk. Then I asked a question that I had been dying to know the answer to. “Why did you tell that man I was a seer?” Frederick gave me a comforting smile. “Seers are highly sought after. There aren’t many of us. If Millicent believes there are two of us in the same place. I can guarantee she will come for us. One to kill for their power,” He points at himself, “one to capture for their ability.” He points to me.

It must be in the millions, at the rate she’s spending. It’s not surprising, really. I’ve always known that Felix is the son of the one of the richest men in Britain, maybe even in the world – just like Alastaire, who also comes from old money. Elliot on the other hand comes from a wealthy family but they’re nouveau riche, new money – his dad made a fortune as a celeb soccer player and now owns a team. It’s common knowledge, and all Fable fans know about it. But as for Ben and Lyall, there’s not much out there about their family circumstances. They’ve made millions since starting Fable, but unlike the other boys, you never hear anything about their families.

It's all a fantasy. Fable has been my escape. An unhealthy one. A safe pretend world where I could bury myself. Just like how Zee cried after she finished the final Harry Potter book, or how Jamie bases so much of her worth on the fictional version of herself that lives across a thousand Instagram pics, in the comments and likes of a thousand strangers. Just carefully constructed lies to comfort and lull. Dreams.
