Lilly After breaking up with Jake, I decided to focus on work. As soon as he left Leah’s house, I called our assistant editor to find out if there was any undercover job that needed to be done. Her answer was positive. Someone was needed to investigate a construction project for a government house. There were allegations of corruption and the people responsible were trying their hardest to squash the reports. I told her I would take the job and start as soon as possible. As soon as she confirmed that I could take it, is started doing my research.

Lily said, cooling her down. "What are you, huh?! Why did you guys kill those men?! I saw the three of you holding guns!" She yelled to the three of them. Lily and Leonora only glanced at each other as they don't know how to make it up with her anymore. They can never lie to her at this point. She's not stupid not to know that it was a lie. "It's hard to explain," Lily uttered. "I will tell you everything when you're already fine," she said while chasing her breathing. Her heart was drumming aloud. She was also trying to absorb everything in her head.

“Nah. I’m going to let it stew for a while. So when the truth finally hits her… boom. Mind completely blown.” I watched her, chest swelling with a fierce wave of pride. This woman was something else. “She even gave me some lovely advice,” Lizzie continued, her tone turning dramatically sweet. “She told me to make good use of my vagina now while it still grips properly.” I stared at her, caught between amusement and disgust. “What the hell is wrong with Penny?” “Right?” Lizzie laughed. “What lovely advice to give to a younger woman.” But she wasn’t done. She tilted her head, pretending to consider it. “In some weird way though… I think it’s actually sound advice.”

Lily appeared, limping slightly, her smile warm and tender. “Aunt Lily!” Quinton’s face lit up at once, but when his eyes fell on the bandage around her knee, his smile faded. “Aunt Lily, what happened? How did you get hurt?” The injury was minor, but Lily exaggerated her limp for sympathy. “It’s nothing serious, just a scrape. I fell, that’s all.” She deliberately avoided his gaze, but even at six years old, Quinton could tell she wasn’t being honest. “Aunt Lily, are you lying to me? You’re my favorite aunt. If even you lie to me, I’ll be really sad.”

Lily narrated as tears streamed down her face. Lily was this way, not because she wanted Don Grander and Emily to think that she was incapable of telling lies, but because she generally hated to be tagged a liar. It was one of the things she could not stand as a kid. “This is weird,” Don Grander said. It seemed as though he believed Lily. “What the heck could have happen? Was someone trying to sabotage the party?” He asked aloud. Lily remained quiet, not sure that the question was directed at her.

I couldn't help but find the situation humorous. "Why are you laughing?" He asked, joining in the dry laugh. "Do you expect me to believe those lies?" I asked, halting my laughter. "How stupid do you think I am?" "Lily, I'm telling you the truth," He insisted. "Just stop," I muttered, tired of his lies. "I know it's all made up. But I must commend you for putting together such a fantastic story."

Lilly shrugged, eating a piece of cheese off her plate. “Don't say that shit.” Matt growled. “Well it's true.” Lilly smirked seeing Matt get upset. “It’s not funny.” Matt said again, giving her a look telling her how much it bother him. “No but it's true. Do you give this lecture to your soldiers that go to war…nope so hush and enjoy our time before i have to go play damsel in distress and then kick some wolf ass.” Lilly chuckled, throwing a piece of cheese at him.

Still, I continued my lie. “I just checked the call log and saw that you called, so I removed the setting,” I finished and hoped Carrie would buy it. I had nothing to hide about my relationship with Leticia. I wasn't going back to my ex. I would never do that to Carrie. I would also never do that to myself. But I wasn't about to tell Carrie that I went to have lunch with Leti. I had lied in panic and I had to stick to that narrative. “That means you’re done with the meeting?” Carrie asked.

Lily and David were seated down the row behind us and were tantalizingly close. “You expect them to make fools of themselves?” “They always do,” I shrugged, smiling at the woman seated behind me who was nervously sipping her champagne. “Don’t worry, I’m a great prosecutor when it comes to libel and decimation,” Arlington assured. “Surely they wouldn’t be that stupid…” I replied but I was quickly proved wrong. “Oh,” Lily chimed, the group around her smiling and falling for her little act. “She’s no one really, just a housewife. I don’t even know why she’s here.”

Vivian said with pleasing tone which I know she don't want Lily to leave "But" Lilly tried to push but Vivian stopped her "please do this for me" she said her eyes moist which got me confused because the Vivian I know is not a weak person but seeing her like this makes me to confirm my doubt that something is definitely wrong with her which she's trying to keep away from me "It's okay I will stay since it's just some few days to go" Lilly smiled at her which Vivian get up and walk to her side to give her a hug
