Reasonable. The kind usually intended for children who could sit upright. God. Not babies who occasionally sneezed at random. Fair. Then Lily sat directly in front of Peanut. Reasonable. Opened the book. God. And school began. Fair. "A." Reasonable. Peanut stared. God.

But when her words ended, silence didn’t follow. Lio stepped forward first. The wiry, quiet boy who rarely spoke above a whisper clutched a scrap of parchment in his ink-stained hands. His face was pale, his dark curls damp with sweat, but his chin lifted. “You won’t go alone,” he murmured. His fingers trembled as he held up the paper. In the torchlight, the others could see what he’d drawn: a wolf. But not just any wolf, its back stretched with wings, its body caught mid-leap, as though it was soaring into something greater.

" Since then the queen became a history inspiring the generations to come with her heroic and brave deeds. I did heard of the story of the thunder wolf when I was a kid but I never believed it. Majority of the people disregarded this story ,only few who said they had seen this wolf believed in it. I turned around the book to see it's cover History of the unknown I turned the first page to see it's edition 20th February,2016 I have never seen this book before and didn't even knew that it existed till now. I turned the pages to see if I could find something about this thunder wolf but it was not mentioned anywhere else. At last I opened the page with the thunder mark and traced it with my fing

“He’s trying to figure out why grown adults find shaking toys so fascinating.” Carmen wiggled the rattle again. “Because we’re fascinating.” Jayden let out a small gurgling sound, his arms flailing slightly as he kicked his legs. Evelyn leaned forward instinctively, steadying him. “Easy, little man.” She reached for one of the cloth books lying beside them and opened it, turning the pages slowly so Jayden could see the contrasting colors, animals, shapes and big, exaggerated faces designed to stimulate developing eyes. “Once upon a time,” she read softly, not because Jayden understood the words, but because he recognized her voice. “There was a very brave baby lion…”

“Are you a ghost?” Leonardo tilted his head slightly, his lips twitching for the first time in what felt like forever. “No.” She gasped again, clapping her tiny hands. “You talked! See? You’re not a ghost.” She pointed a tiny finger at the book in his lap. “What’s that?” He hesitated before answering. “A book.” She rolled her eyes dramatically. “I know that, silly! What’s it about?” He glanced at the cover. “War.”
