The One Who Waited

The One Who Waited

"Of course. Do you want to sign the contract now?" "That's not necessary." Irina had never met a client this easygoing before. By the time she finished taking photos and the measurements, it was already dark. She had planned to take a rideshare home, but Luther insisted on driving her. So, she ended up getting back into that incredibly flashy car of his again. She sat in the passenger seat because the back seat was piled with several cases of wine, leaving no room for anyone. On the way back, Irina kept looking out the window. Early winter in Lakewood City had a desolate kind of beauty. Even though no one knew when it would snow, the anticipation of the first snowfall brought a sense of joy.

The War Bride Who Waited No More

The War Bride Who Waited No More

Sebastian let go of me immediately and rushed inside without a second glance. There was Lena, sword pressed against my maid's throat. "No one in the army dares defy me. And you, a servant girl, think you can bar my way?" The maid stood her ground, voice trembling. "My lady has never allowed strangers inside her bedchamber." Lena pressed closer. Blood beaded along the blade where it touched the maid's neck. Her voice came out choked. "The west guest room was prepared especially for you to rest during your pregnancy…"

ONCE A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE LUNA NOW THE DEMON ALPHA'S BRIDE

ONCE A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE LUNA NOW THE DEMON ALPHA'S BRIDE

“You're simply the woman who keeps my bed warm.” I wrapped my arms around myself as I walked. The palace was only just beginning to wake — servants hurrying through the halls with buckets of water, baskets of bread, fresh flowers bound for the royal chambers. Life going on exactly as it always did, as though mine hadn't just been reduced to nothing more than someone's convenience overnight. Outside Lady Valentina's chambers, she was already waiting. She didn't greet me. She never did. Instead she held out the familiar glass vial.

Billionaire’s V1rgin Ex-Wife

Billionaire’s V1rgin Ex-Wife

Tonight would be the start of Serena’s downfall. She glanced at her phone. Almost 9 p.m. With renewed determination, she ordered the driver to take her straight to Westchester Manor. Inside, Madam Vanderbilt and Cordelia were already waiting in the drawing room. The fireplace crackled gently, casting a warm golden glow on the soft furniture. A tray of delicately plated pastries and porcelain cups of steaming coffee sat untouched on the coffee table. The air was thick with smug anticipation. Madam Vanderbilt, still pale from her recent hospitalization, looked much improved tonight. She leaned back into her cushioned seat, draped in a silk shawl, a proud smile curling at the corners of her lip

Dear Gentle Readers, thank you for your patience and support. We are finally in the phase where she’s being his mistress. This author predicts that this story will, unfortunately, come to an end at the end of this / next month. Thank you for this meaningful journey and hope to see you in the future

I love how the story is moving forward progressly. Everyday I am waiting for 1-2 chapters excitingly, the best part, they are very long chapters too, so it is like actually reading 3-4 chapters in the other other novels. Please keep up a good work author and keep going. 2 thumbs up

IRIS: The Human Hybrid

IRIS: The Human Hybrid

I followed the male guard to where breakfast was to take place completely lost in my own thought. When I finally arrived, Lady Vena was already seated and sipping tea from an expensive glass delicately, her beautiful brown Hazel eyes moving to stare back at me. Lady Vena looked far too beautiful in her golden gown that accentuate her breast perfectly. “I’m sorry if I kept you waiting” I said quickly as I felt her eyes on me before I pulled out a chair and sat quickly, my hands folded on my lap nervously.

The Vampire Prince And Her

The Vampire Prince And Her

Someone was indeed lurking around near the apartment building, just not Steve. A sports car was standing out in the sleepy Oak street. All the windows were up. Nearby stood a butler in his full outfit with long tails and all. An old man, petite and probably shorter than her. On his face wore a kind smile, targeted at her. He had been waiting for her. “May I ask if you are Lady Danica Gallant?” he inquired. She lived in a cheap apartment she could barely afford. Her clothes were a blouse and pants she had got both on sale. He was addressing her lady.

The First Heir

The First Heir

She patted his chest gently and said, “I’m almost ready. The Wallises won’t lose this time. This world belongs to the Wallises.” At this moment, the maid who served Wynn walked in. She placed her hands on her stomach and said deferentially, “Madam, Miss Wynn is waiting for you in the guest hall.” Giada nodded and asked her people to arrange a room for Jack to rest in. On the other hand, she tidied herself and walked toward the guest hall. Wynn had been waiting for more than ten minutes in the guest hall. She did not dare to wander around. This place was too opulent.

such an awesome story, very well written. this latest twist of him going back to ancestral land, genius, but I don't like that Phillip lost all his skills and boons! including verge tower!!! I'm hoping this is all just a twist, he'll gain it all back. oh, I do wish you could load more than 1 daily

The Baron's Cold Proposal

The Baron's Cold Proposal

The puffing noise of a bouncing mattress reassured her that the note would not be seen for some time. The pair slunk through the corridor, cringing at the yelps that screeched down the corridor. Lady Lupton was having a delightful time, or perhaps she wanted someone else to think she was Athena mused. She probably didn't know that Craig slept in the lodge and would be completely uninterested in her escapades.

A wonderful story full of characters you love to love and ĺove to hate. I echo the sentiments around the ending but I'm relieved at the lack if true redemption arc (told you - characters you love to hate!)

Warning ends with a .... cliffhanger with no sequel. Great book overall by a talented author. I recommend it, and the cliffhanger doesn't ruin the book. It honestly do with a round of editing for character names being mixed up. This is one of the author's earlier books and is worth the read!
