Irina had never met a client this easygoing before. By the time she finished taking photos and the measurements, it was already dark. She had planned to take a rideshare home, but Luther insisted on driving her. So, she ended up getting back into that incredibly flashy car of his again.
She sat in the passenger seat because the back seat was piled with several cases of wine, leaving no room for anyone.
On the way back, Irina kept looking out the window. Early winter in Lakewood City had a desolate kind of beauty. Even though no one knew when it would snow, the anticipation of the first snowfall brought a sense of joy.
