Her lips didn't move when she reached out and gently touched the back of the man's neck.
He froze.
His bottle slipped from his hand and stuck in the mud.
"You're very drunk tonight and feeling depressed," Lina whispered to him like a lullaby. "So you decided to go for a walk near the forest cliffside and look at the view."
The man didn't speak. He just stared ahead, eyes dull and glassed over.
"That view started to make you feel like a piece of shit," she continued, brushing wet strands of hair from his ear. "And that your life holds no meaning. After all, there's no hope for BlueMont pack anymore, is there?"
