When she flipped on the tv he decided it was time to make his move. Mandy Williams was babysitting in Huntersville for her neighbors 3 houses down from her house. She had been babysitting these two kids for a year now and they always got along great. She made them a quick dinner of hot dogs and Mac n cheese. She helped the 2 little boys bathe and read them a story and took them upstairs and tucked them in to bed. Mandy had a good routine down with the kids and stayed with them singing softly until they fell asleep.

When the bed feels cold, I open my eyes to Loyalty, dressing Stephany. I sat up and said, “hey baby girls, where are you going”? “Nowhere Spin, Gabby can’t find her iPad so we’re getting dressed before we go to see if Jonny or Courtney has it”, Loyalty explains. “How about we all get dressed and head out for breakfast, just the three of us?” I suggested. “Yay! Breakfast with daddy”, Stephany squeals, making it difficult for Loyalty to buckle the strap of her sandal around her ankle.

I angrily wiped the tears that fell from my eyes and I looked away, not baring to look at them any further. But I should have keep my eyes forward, then I would have been able to dodge Adrian’s hold on me. He hugged me from behind while the other two stood in front of me. “You’re right. We messed up. Big time even and we’re terrible sorry for that. We didn’t expect Laura’s return. She explained to us why she left all those years ago and it apparently wasn’t what we thought it was. She was threatened by the Rogue King to leave us. She didn’t mean to but she had to and now, we don’t know what to do with her. If she saved us, it’s only right that we stay by her side.”

I’ve been babysitting for Mr. Leonardo for a few months now. He’s this older guy, like in his forties, with silver hair that makes him look all wise and hot. Everyone calls him a silver fox, and I get why. His wife is away on some business trip again, so it’s just me and the kids at first, but tonight the little ones are asleep early. I’m Lana, just turned eighteen, and I’ve been thinking about him a lot. The way he smiles at me when he pays me, his strong hands, that deep voice. I want him bad.

There were three pairs of little arms grabbing us and telling us how much they missed us, and I felt truly touched by so much love. "Mommy missed you too, my loves!" "You missed us too, Daddy?" Lara asked, once again showing herself as the "leader" of the trio. "I missed you three a lot, Lara!" "A lot like this?" Megan made a broad gesture with her chubby arms. "A lot like that!" I repeated the gesture, making the space between my arms much larger due to my size. "We missed you too, Daddy," Liam said, with his serious and earnest demeanor. And once again, they were all around us, smiling, jumping, and all talking at once in a jumble of information.

If anyone can swing things so they look good, it’s Larry. We settle ourselves in the limo and Laura, who is sitting across from me and my dad, goes straight for the jugular. “As soon as we can shake off the men I want to hear all about the guy who slaps your ass on national TV.” She has no idea. “You’ll meet Lane and you can ask him yourself.” She puts her arm around Reg and pulls him close. “It’s sexy when he does it, but big brother here doesn’t like it.”

I ask, a hint of panic evident in my voice. “Because I am busy. Settlement to run, threats to plan against and all that. Have fun,” she says as she walks out of the room, leaving me with barbie. “Hi!
