The dishes that waited for me on the table were BBQ ribs, chili con carne, sauteed broccoli, and zucchini soup. I shamelessly polished everything off again. After freeloading like this for three days straight, I started to feel a little guilty. This ghost not only had a good temper, but she also clearly knew how to run a household. I dug a pink sticky note out of a drawer and, using a thick black pen, wrote, "Hi. What should I call you? I feel bad just eating your cooking all the time." When I finished, I placed the note neatly in the center of the table.

"What are you doing with my baby?" Jasmine's face paled as she turned to us, her expression guilty and somewhat afraid. She stammered, "Bella, I... I can explain." Aaron was beside me, his voice very angry. "You have no right to take that baby, Jasmine." The other people in the parking lot watched our confrontation.Jasmine began to sob, her eyes filled with fake crocodile tears. "I didn't want to do this," she said , her voice shaky. "I just couldn't take it anymore, seeing you both like this."

I replied and acted like I didn't know him. "Come on, I am Hedwig, remember at the party of Ruth and this last banquet." He tried to remind us of our encounter. "Ahh, Mr. Bryant." Maya walked in to find Glinda placating the baby. “Sshh, it’s okay,” Glinda rocked the crying baby in her chubby arms. The old woman was so caught up with the baby that she missed the sound of her footsteps. Maya observed them from the doorway and couldn’t help but feel bad for the old woman. The baby hadn’t stopped crying. She approached the old lady and offered her help. Glinda gave her an uncertain look in response. “I have babysat before,” she assured her with a smile. Glinda responded with a nod and gave the baby in her arms.

Powers exhaled loudly but I did not make the mistake of looking at him.
