My Innocence, His Destruction

My Innocence, His Destruction

“ Why should I bear someone else's death too? Who are they to tell me to die?” She wept. Ivy swallowed hard. Everything she said made no sense, but her chest tightened. The pain and anger laced in her voice pierced right through her chest. It's been a while since the princess gave up on life, even though she seems crazy at the moment, she could tell she was still heartbroken. Zaria sniffled and straightened. “ You said Zaria told you it could mean a second chance right? Well, that's what it'll be for me. Not a punishment.” She said amidst gnashed teeth.

What Was Lost

What Was Lost

I just wanted to spend the final moments of my life with children who were truly innocent and kind. Hopefully, with the last bits of good deed, I would never have to meet Serene again. Not even in another life.

FORSAKEN WIFE, NOW A BILLIONAIRE'S GREATEST REGRET

FORSAKEN WIFE, NOW A BILLIONAIRE'S GREATEST REGRET

“There’s an elegiac tone to your book, Gwen. A sense of loss amid the win. Do you still feel that?” The table quieted, listening. I wanted to tell him he was wrong. I wanted to tell him this was worth it—that justice had been served. But I couldn’t. Because I felt it too. That hollow feeling. That space inside us where something used to be—trust, innocence, hope maybe. And now it was just... gone.

Yessss, love the drama in this book, I'm still reading and can't get enough of it! The family dynamic is dramatic and aggravating and that’s what makes this sooooo good. I don't think there's anyone more shameless than Layla’s mom. That woman annoys me!!!

At first, I thought it was a typical revenge story, but the more I read, the more I grasped the complexity of the characters that were well described. It makes me more curious about Layla, a woman who is trying to figure out the scheme she finds herself in, and Damien, a man clouded in mysteries.
