Blind Desires
I slammed the door shut and pressed my back against it, chest heaving.
For a moment, the only sound was our breathing. We just stared at each other for what felt like forever, neither moving, both too aware of the space between us. Rain pounded against the windows. Thunder rolled in the distance. My chest was tight, my hands trembling. Every instinct screamed at me to push him away, to deny this, to survive to pull him close.
Then he stepped closer. Not enough to touch, but close enough that his heat hit me through the thin fabric of my shirt. His green eyes burned straight into mine—curious, searching, and impossible to read.
