She was too shocked to see Nyssa, she had dropped her glass by mistake. Her hand trembled slightly, “Sarah never was. That girl in the red gown- that’s Lucien's chosen mate by the goddess”. “Huh?” Lucy turned to Lillian with furrowed brows as she said, “She’s supposed to be dead.” “I wonder…” The last sentence, she whispered it to herself alone.

Her red hair is twisted in braids, different colored crystals hanging from them in a decorative way. “Lilian, give her our equipment to carry. She is going to be our little helper today.” A bag flies toward me, heavy with glass and metal and before I can grab it, it floats midair. I blink. Then a voice comes from behind her. “The little human is my helper today, Hilda. I suggest you find yours.” Lucien steps forward, a grin on his face with that gorgeous hair of his glowing in the light…….seriously, how does he live with the kind of attention his hair brings?

My breathing was slow and for me, time had stopped. In my final moments, that dream that had never felt quite like a dream became lucid; I was dressed in an ancient long-sleeved gown and wolves charged at me. The only difference was that as they had made to attack me, the 6’4 stranger who was always my saviour appeared from nowhere and defeated them all. “Here, Eloise, let me help you up,” his familiar voice said, and when I looked up at him, I discovered it wasn’t a stranger. It was someone I knew maybe not too well, but very well. It was Lucien. Lucien O’Hara.

As people began to mingle, I made my way towards Nimue. “Ugly Tabby Cat in Pink.” I clicked my tongue, sizing her up from top to bottom. She shot me a ‘back off glare’, “No one asked for your opinion.” I was going to say something hurtful to her when Lucille, dressed in a revealing red gown that brought out every contour of her curves, appeared beside me. Her arm linked through mine, and her perfume filled the air. “Ready to mingle, darling?” she purred. Oh, no! Not the fake girlfriend, please!

Still, I’ll have my dream home just like the two of them. Everyone is busy chit-chatting and talking about the shenanigans they’ve been up to this week. The door swung open, and I looked down on a thick head of ruddy hair, just beginning to gray. I didn’t say a word, but speech was unnecessary. She ushered us inside, and as I moved past her, Maise’s shock of auburn waves fell over her shoulder, revealing my mark. The Luna Queen gave me a victorious smile, and in that moment, I knew everything would be alright.

Nicholas said and left without further exchange of words from either of them. Lucien knew he had to go. Not because he wanted to but he knew better. Maybe going would make his father back off a little bit. He would meet with her simply for formalities. The next day, Lucien headed out to slush cafe. When he arrived, he picked a spot and sat. The view was beautiful- Humans going about their day peacefully, without a care in the world. A few minutes later, a lady walked up to him, she looked like she was in her middle twenties. I realised it came from Lucien, who was standing in front of me. I could no longer see the woman but the sound of her heel stopped. She walked past Lucien to stand in front of us. Her eyes fell on me first, she looked at me from head to toe before looking at Lucien. "Interesting," her voice was silky, almost in a whisper, but still clearly audible. I felt something strange. Lucien was silent but his eyes were speaking. His eyes were no longer the same shade of black, the iris glowed with the silver-blue underneath.

Cherry's Dad said, pulling himself up from the chair. He glanced at his wife and Carol and the both of them followed after him. "Have a nice time with your woman" Lucas patted Damien's shoulder and walked away leaving just Lucienne, Damien, Diana and Derek. Lucienne's eyes trailed after him, her face contorted into disgust and anger towards him. "What's your name?" Damien asked, barely looking at her. "Lucie...." She quickly bit her lips hard to stop herself. "Lucie?" Damien asked. "No, not at all. My name is Cherry" She replied him hurriedly.
