"Diana, are you looking for Lucius? He's busy right now. He was just having the time of his life in my bed." I said nothing and ended the call. Less than a minute later, Lucius himself dialed back. He had his arm around Lucy, whose eyes were red as if she'd been wronged, as he tore into me for being so stupid. "What right does a useless she-wolf like you, who can't even protect my heir, have to be my Luna?" he had said. Pulling myself back to the present, I tried to take a detour to avoid them, but Lucius spotted me and marched over, his face darkening.

I ran inside and froze. Lucius was in the middle of the room, tall and shaking, half-shifted, his claws into the floor. His eyes blazed a red that was not the red of an Alpha but of a thing that had completely fallen out of control. And Harriet was forced against the wall, trembling without utterance, looking up at him with big eyes. He broke the door, mommy, I whispered, and I am crying, I am crying. Lucius grumbled and walked slowly up to her.

"Draco, I have come to a decision. I want to learn how to fight." A flicker of surprise danced across his features, mingling with profound curiosity. "Learn to fight?" he repeated, his voice tinged with a mix of caution and intrigue. "May I inquire as to the reason behind this sudden resolve?" I leaned forward, my voice firm yet tinged with vulnerability. "Lucas used me, Draco. He played with my emotions, manipulating me to further his ambitions. I have spent so much of my life being controlled, manipulated. But no longer. I refuse to be a pawn in someone else's game. I want to learn to defend myself, to reclaim my place, and protect those I hold dear."

I say as Malachi nods his head before kissing his son and setting him down on his feet and they both walk away, looking back and I smile at them and nod my head forward as they take off. Once they are out of sight and the other pups have entered the packhouse, I turn to face Joanne, no longer smiling as I do. “Your daughter seems accustomed to your vile mouth. That doesn’t mean any other pup is.” I say as I keep looking at her and she fights the snarl in her throat. “How dare you? Who the fuck do you think you are?” she shrieks at me when I hear a chuckle coming from behind me. “This will be good.” Lucius says and the other snort on a laugh.

For some reason, he felt a bit excited at how things have progressed now. After the women left, it was just Levian and Malfoy outside, facing each other–a silent tension between them. “What’s your relationship with her?” Both of them asked in unison. Malfoy decided to go first, “I mean, she is your distant cousin, is it?” There was zero resemblance between the two of them. He knew Levian would never stoop that low as to have a mistress in his house. “She is my sister,” Levian said as he stepped towards Malfoy.

A clash of bottle by his side alerted him as he saw Lucia pointing a half broken bottle at one of the guys. " If you touch me again, I kill you " Lucia said in anger . " Are you seriously talking to me in that manner. Me Draco " the guy shouted back . Lucien watched and wondered how these rude guys got into here . He noticed the exchange of words and saw that Lucia was already tired and was falling asleep due to the influence of alcohol and he knew that if he didn't step in , she might be hurt . He tried to convince himself that he was just doing it to avoid ruining Derrick's engagement but his spirit was saying something else .

He had been waiting for ages for his mate and was not going to let her go. “Why?" he asked gently. “We can't...because I'm a cat shifter" Hermione said, feeling dejected, standing up. She added" and you are a Lycan." Ruke was dismayed but he kept his face straight. “ We can find a way to work things out" he replied. "Let's just work together, please”.
