Vivienne said to Asher. "Are you sympathizing with her?" He narrowed his eyes slightly. Alex whispered. "What are these people? Are they witches or something? Are they going to feed on our souls?" Ashley cringed at her own questions. "They're not going to hurt us" Assured Henry. Ashley's annoying but somehow cheery voice filled my ear "Good morning to you too Ashley, how nice of you to wake up with such annoying attitude" I retorted "being a little nice wouldn't kill you" She smile slyly at me "Trust me Cardin, this is me being nice" with that cunning smile she turned her attention to Lucy "how are you this morning Lucy..." Lucy raised her head with the intention of replying her question but Ashley stopped her with her dramatic display "oh my gosh... You look like shit... Guess you aren't so perfect are you?"

“Please do.” I stopped just a few feet away, looking her dead in the eye. “I’m Lucy,” I said, voice steady. “The one you tried to destroy. The one you mocked.
