When She Turns Her Back Novels & Stories

He was dressed now, ready to go, just sitting there with his back to her, his hands crossed over his knees. “Okay,” she said, but she didn’t move to put her bra on just yet. For some reason, she waited, just staring at the back of his head. Slowly, as if he had no control over himself either, as if she wasn’t the only one possessed by an urge completely beyond understanding, he turned and looked over his shoulder.

“Loyalty, what are you hiding” “Me? Hiding? I’m not hiding anything”, she says. Because that’s not suspicious! I walk toward her and she backs up, bumping whatever is behind her into the hallway wall. “Oh shit”, she says nervously as she turns her back to me, and I take the opportunity to approach. When I’m within arms reach, she turns back to face me and says, “Spin, stop”! I glared at her, “one last time, what are you hiding”?

I pull the trigger and she doesn’t even blink, once again confirming what I already know. “Empty.” She smirks. “How lucky for me.” She steps back and I frown. There’s no way she knew it was empty… that was a reckless move on her behalf. “This has been fun, but I’m going to go before they come back.” “You know, they say you should never turn your back on an enemy,” I remind her coldly. “Oh please, I’m not afraid…” She teeters and then collapses. I move forward, catching her before she hits the ground. Frowning down at the woman I’m holding, my eyes snap to her thigh. She’s shot.

“Thank you.” I turned my back to give her privacy. I faced the window, with my hands clasped behind me, forcing myself to focus on the tree line. Behind me, I heard the rustle of fabric. The soft sound of her pulling off her shirt, the whisper of jeans sliding down her legs. My jaw clenched so hard my teeth ached. Don’t turn around. Don’t fucking turn around. She was vulnerable. And trapped here. The last thing she needed was me looking at her like some kind of animal.

Just before stepping out. Doesn’t turn around. Doesn’t look back. “Walk away,” I say quietly, “and this doesn’t end.” A pause. Long. Heavy. “I know,” she replies. Her voice shakes. Just a little. “Then don’t.” Silence. Then— a single step. Forward. Away. She crosses the threshold. And this time— she doesn’t look back. The door slams shut. Sealing me in. Alone. But this isn’t over.

she said while turning her back. I almost stumbled when she did that and shook my head. In a flash, the wind suddenly blew and it was as if she just didn't care what had happened to us earlier.

Just then we heard a sonorous feminine voice from behind us, yelling, "Hey! " We all paused and turned back to see a gorgeous damsel. It was Salene. She had her little bunny bag stacked at her back and walked hastily making her flamboyant cream hair dangle in the air. "Hey! " she yelled again as she walked up to us while we waited speechlessly. I stuttered. "H–hey. " Though I wasn't expecting her to smile weirdly, holding my hands as we walk down the streets in utter stupidity but she still murdered my expectations. With a quite serious face, she stared straight into my eyes.

She hadn't expected him not to turn around at all. For a brief moment, it felt as if an invisible hand had clenched around her heart, leaving her dazed. She snapped back to her senses and lowered her voice. "Quentin, I'm done." Upon hearing that, Quentin turned around. The moment his gaze fell on her, he froze. "You…"

"Turn around." Hazel turns her back to me with suspicion, but when she realizes that my intention is to put the necklace around her neck, she relaxes and pulls her blonde hair to the side. The movement lets me catch the scent of her hair and perfume, creating a delightful mix.

She grows rigid slightly and looks away. “Yes. once,” she says barely above a whisper. Then, clearing her throat, she turns her back to me, hinting that the conversation has ended and I should finish my job.
