The lady cried out to Aliza. "What is your name?" Aliza asked her in kindness. "I'm Shelly...Shelly Spark." Aliza nodded to her. "Shelly, I think you're mistaken. The boss here Mr Charles Rodriguez is the top notch business man, he is a very kind and benevolent person. Charles has no connection with the mafia." Shelly gave out a hysterical laugh between her cries. "Mam please excuse me but you seem more innocent than me."

Illegal smuggling and money laundering. “They sound like really bad men,” I told Carl. “That’s what I was trying to tell you,” he exclaimed. “My uncle hit a man in the restaurant. I heard you say that. But THAT man was bad. Not my uncle. The gang sent that man to threaten Uncle Luigi. He sneered, “I’ve been waiting for you. Someone has paid a price for both your legs.” The one speaking was Lou Webb, the head gangster in this neighborhood. On the streets, people called him Lou. He was quite capable with many followers under him. His methods were ruthless, and he was involved in dirty business. Philip frowned when he heard the words. He took on a defensive stance and asked, “Who wants to do that to me?” Lou scoffed. “Don’t ask me who the hell it is. If you mess with the wrong people, you should be taught a lesson!”

“Obviously they’re a gang of sorts. I’m not an idiot. But what I’m asking is which of Sangrid’s many gangs have you brought into a house of healing?” Voice strained, Giovanni said finally, “Mariposa.” “Jesus.” Gianna felt like crumpling. She folded forward, bracing her forearms on the table, and demanded harshly, “Are you an idiot, Giovanni?” “You probably think so.” “I’m starting to know so.” Mariposa. More specifically, the Mariposa Mafia. The fucking mafia. “Mariposa,” Gianna said again, as if she could barely believe her brother’s stupidity. “They’re not that bad!” Giovanni said defensively, and Gianna wanted to reach across the table and slap the back of his head.

I stated. He snickered, “you were always known to go straight to the point.” He said as he walked even closer to Lily’s bed, “tonight you messed up by shooting that young man. He so happens to be Don Luis’ son and he offered you an ultimatum; you either join the mafia again and be ready for when we need you or he is going to put a bullet through your son.” He shrugged, “an eye for an eye.” “I was trying to find my wife.” I snapped, knowing the mafia didn’t care that my son was only three-years-old.

Shay no longer scared him and she laughed when he told them that he imagined that as soon as Tulio recovered, she would kill him: "Well, you should be afraid of him," she laughed and pointed at Tulio, "He's a thousand times more dangerous than me. Why do you think I asked you to take care of him?" Mr. Camilo widened his eyes at Tulio, who waved his hand, indicating that she was lying. "It's true, sir Camilo. Noticeably absent was Aleksei Petrov, the true representative of the Bratva, whose immigrant father had secured the Philadelphia syndicate through brutal means. Aleksei, much like his father, was seen as a merciless force, more savage than a respected member of the mafia.

You have no idea who I am.” The gangster glared at Gavin, trying to scare him off. Gavin narrowed his eyes and swung a slap at the gangster’s face. “I don’t care who the hell you are! Get out of my face!” Slap! The gangster was slapped. “You bastard! How dare you slap Brother Leath?!” The other gangsters clamored. Gavin rolled up his sleeves to reveal his muscles and said proudly, “I don’t care if he’s Heath Ledger or Leath Hedger. Do you know who my master is? Leave or I will break your bones!”
