After Laura and Chris had left, Luke stood under the bridge for another half an hour before coming back to his senses. Luke had thought about a lot of things during the past half an hour. He wiped the dust from his face with his sleeve and began walking. He didn't have any money on him, so the only way back home was to walk. When Luke arrived at the community of the Walker family's residence, he just happened to see Shona, Nicholas and Jessica, who were coming home.

Luke wear a black coat and covered his head with a hoodie. “Are you sure this will work?” Leo asked him. “We have to make it work, for our sake. I cannot keep you without a position just because you want to stay by my side. Don’t you feel good being the Gamma of the pack, assuming your own position” Luke asked him. Now was not the time to be scared, it was the time to face their battles head on, Luke had a lot waiting for him if he won over Ryan, he would have his life back, his pack and also his mate by his side. It was one thing to try to stop us, but it was another thing entirely when he tried to block me. Now that I was connected, I leaned back in my chair, not caring that it was uncomfortable and there wasn’t a headrest to keep my neck from getting a major cramp. Closing my eyes, I logged into the game. Just as I arrived, I saw approximately eighteen men, including Zane, attacking Luka in an all-out death brawl. I could tell that Luka was barely hanging on. His attackers didn’t give him any breathing room to be able to use a potion.

As if he expected this reaction, as if this was all part of some sick game to him. “There you are,” he said calmly, walking toward me with that same cold, detached smile. “I was wondering when you would show up.” I gritted my teeth, my body tensing with the need to strike, to hurt him in ways he would never forget. But Luke was always two steps ahead. I could see it in his eyes, in the way he walked toward me like he wasn’t threatened at all. “Give me my daughter,” Luke continued, his voice smooth, as if he was negotiating a deal. “And I will give you your father’s remains. Or you can keep her, and I will take them, throw them somewhere you will never find them. The choice is yours.”

“Good, now let's go meet the public." The pack doctor left us. Father followed him out. Soon after, the Lycans outside began to howl. They were morning the passing of royalty on a stranger’s land. I dragged myself off the floor and wiped the blood off my eyes. The sin I was about to commit hung over me like a ghost. Lycan Alpha Daven came up to the door and peered inside. “I am really sorry.” He said. “I… I should have protected the groom, your son.”

The sound of heavy, tactical boots echoed from the main entrance. They were hunting us. They were tracking the blood. I grabbed Malakai around his waist, supporting his massive weight as we scrambled down the dark corridor. Every single light in the apartment had died, plunging the fortress into a pitch-black labyrinth illuminated

CHAPTER 3 “He doesn’t like to be late, young mistress.” Irene said out of breath as she pushed the door open. Luke was already there. With his back to us, he stood before a twenty-foot mural of a massacred village with a towering werewolf standing on a heap of human skulls. His silhouette was still, unflinching and mysterious. He had a glass of whiskey in his hand. He was six-foot-five of devastating charm wrapped in shadow, his jet-black hair tousled like it forgot to behave, carelessly enough to look like a hot mess. His lips too perfect to mean anything true.

He said to me and just then Susan stopped eating and walked up to us I was so shaken I couldn't move but stand up, he would kill Luther. Reality So this was the end game. I was just nothing but a pawn in their game, this was his final plan all this while, I was unable to believe this was it all. Or was it? THE END

Shadow sighed but gave a nod, knowing there was no changing my mind. "Get in the car," I ordered, already moving toward the door. Within minutes, we were speeding toward the warehouse where my men were waiting. By the time we arrived, the place was buzzing with energy. My soldiers stood in tight formations, weapons strapped, eyes burning with determination. I stepped onto the platform, letting my gaze sweep over them. "Luciano made a mistake," I began, my voice steady but laced with venom. "He walked into my home. He killed my men. And now, he thinks he can take from me without consequence." A low growl of agreement rippled through the crowd.
