Malaika
The place was a small, busy market where vendors gathered on both sides of the dusty road, and she could hear some customers haggling when buying their needs.
Passersby would look at Malaika strangely. And in turn, she studied them as well. They were primarily elves with short, pointed ears. They were probably half-bloods. And some appeared human, yet she could not figure out if they were a magic-user or a simple island cultivator.
“A basket of fruits, young lady.”
Malaika clasped her dagger, resting on its sheath on her hip. She couldn’t be complacent.
She gazed at an old man. He had thin gray hair with a rattan basket at hand full of different berries. He wore a tattered brown jacket.
