The Abusive Man

The Abusive Man

All this horse play over a chocolate chip cookie,he must be hungry. "Get back here."He warned, with a devilish smirk playing on his lips. "If you really want the cookie so bad you'll have to catch me first."I chuckled, holding it up in my hands to tease. I'm pretty sure this cookie will be the last thing on his mind when he catches me.

The Alpha’s Pretty Mistake

The Alpha’s Pretty Mistake

I could tell he was already getting uncomfortable. I settled my drink down, and gripped the armrest. “Hardest lesson I ever learned, but it showed me the true repulsive depths manipulators will stoop to in order to ensnare you in their sick webs of lies. If I so much as sniff out a lie, I cut 'em off at the knees before they get a chance to sink their claws in." “Alpha Kol, are you accusing me of something?” "Liars and manipulators are a special kind of evil as far as I'm concerned. They deserve nothing but the harshest judgment for preying on the good faith of others.”

Chasing His Rejected Luna

Chasing His Rejected Luna

“Because if he did, he would never have threatened to take my baby away from me.” “Sometimes we do things that hurt the people we love, but that does’t mean we stopped loving them or we don’t love them. It just means that we’re human and we are weak and imperfect.” I nodded in agreement. But she didn’t know Atlas like I knew him. He is manipulative. Self absorbed, self righteous and stubborn. There couldn’t have been a more horrible combination. But then, you could throw in the fact that he was an alpha. And like most alphas, he was arrogant as fuck. Always believes he is right and that things should go his way.

This is actually not a bad story but GN & author keep uploading the wrong chapters or repeating chapters at least three times a chapter was repeated and at one point more than 10 chapters of the wrong book I have reached out to GN at least 6 times requesting refunds for chapters with no reponse

The book is taking long to come to an end and we seem to be going round in circles. Every time Atlas and Jade look like they will get back together something happens and we go back to square one. Just let them get back together and end the book. This is a good book but it is way too long.

The King's Maiden

The King's Maiden

But his is said with a certain degree of playfulness. I stop for a moment, watching the grown ass man giggle at something so childish that he had done. Is he okay? I swear he acts like he is mental at times. Or maybe he’s perfectly fine. And this is just his attitude— I know him to be manipulative. He plays games on your mind, and will leave you disoriented. I hear of gambling games back in the human world, and I was opportune to sit through a few games, which at the end, got me in trouble with the King of Alkhemi. But what I learned from that, is that Lust is a master of gambling games. He is manipulating you each time he moves. If he was at the games, he would take your money and you would

The Alpha's Ice Queen

The Alpha's Ice Queen

I shake my head. “No. But I know. I can smell him on her even when she’s not around. You really are doing a shittu job for a big brother, you know.” I take a hard swallow from my bottle, then slam it back down. “He’s a manipulative bastard. That’s what he is. He acts so calm, so damn noble, like he’s helping everyone, when really he’s just—” I stop myself. My jaw ticks. Killian waits, then says quietly,

The Pack's Luna: The Pack Series Book 4

The Pack's Luna: The Pack Series Book 4

“Okay, I was messed up because I’d found you and I was all twisted up inside and I don’t know what I thought she was doing. But now, it does seem odd.” “No, Henry, the word you’re looking for is manipulative. She played on your feelings and your loneliness. As I said, it’s a good thing you found me. You dodged a bullet on that one,” I say, turning to find a table. I shouldn’t be shocked, I know I shouldn’t. He’s not the first man or Alpha to be duped by a woman who wanted a title and was willing to do whatever it took to get it. But seriously!

Love Henry's story! I think Wendy and Hacker are a great pair and a chapter on her 18th confirming they are mates would be awesome. Still 3 other Hill children to write about as well as extend families! I think the graduation party at Yorick and Cyra's would be a great place for new found love.

One of the best writers on this app. I love it all. One suggestion though, can you add the AI voice over to your books (past as well if possible) for the visually impaired? This would be great for some of my teen clients

Scarlet Addiction- A Russian Gang Dark Romance

Scarlet Addiction- A Russian Gang Dark Romance

I inhaled deeply and slipped my feet into the heels. As he opened the door, I could see the shift in him. He looked pleasant and approachable. The kind of person that drew people in. He was unlike the man that had just hurt me. It suddenly dawned on me that he was more dangerous than I thought. He was a master manipulator. He slipped his arm around my waist and I stiffened. “Loosen up, Marlowe,” he leaned slightly towards my ear. I said nothing in response. I was still working on my act. If I reacted in a way he didn't like, I would be done for.

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

“All of them.” “No!” screamed Mandy. She turned and ran but Phil jumped in front of her. “Sorry, babe, can’t let you spoil the party.” Some beautiful women use their looks and their physicality (by which I mean boobs) to get men to do what they want. They are manipulative, devious and completely consumed by their own self-interest. They stalk the dark recesses of nightclubs, looking for football players to feed on.

The Twin Who Took It All

The Twin Who Took It All

The ultimate failure of a manufactured persona doesn't happen when a piece of hard data exposes its code in the dark; it occurs on the physical threshold of a locked room, where the polite, helpful script of an identity thief slowly runs out of automated words and begins to warp into a sharp, defensive screech of raw panic. When you lock a master manipulator out of the room where their destiny is being re-calculated, you strip them of the only fuel they have—your reaction—and force them to stand in the quiet until the teeth behind their engineered smile finally show.

Untouchable. This wasn’t just about my attraction to him. This was about power. I'm going to make Ace Alessandro remember my name—and not just as a passing thought. He might have his shield, but I had a weapon of my own. And I was going to see just how unbreakable he really was. I wasn't just playing a game, I was rewriting the rules. ......... **Ace** I have a manipulative freak— a hot one at that— working and parading my house in clothes that leaves little to the imagination.

Frequently Asked Questions

Manipulative characters often operate through a delicate balance of charisma and concealed motive. They're the ones who can make a brutal decision feel like a collective necessity, framing selfish ambition as altruistic service. I find the most chilling examples aren't the mustache-twirlers, but the polite, helpful figures who engineer conflicts so subtly that the protagonists feel they arrived at the disastrous conclusion entirely on their own. The real power isn't in forcing a hand, but in making someone believe the choice was always theirs.

Think of the brilliant strategist who leaks just enough misinformation, or the loving parent who weaponizes guilt. Their traits are a toolkit: exceptional emotional intelligence turned to cold calculation, a preternatural ability to identify and exploit insecurities, and a profound patience that lets schemes unfold over years. They often possess a core of genuine belief that justifies their methods, which makes them far more terrifying than a pure psychopath. I just finished a novel where the villainess wasn't after the throne, but wanted to systematically break the heroine's spirit to prove a philosophical point about human weakness—that kind of layered, intellectual manipulation sticks with me longer than any grand magical duel.
