The rest of the lunch was torture as Mariah couldn't seem to look anywhere else. Her saviour came in the form of a messager named Gideon. Mariah smiled slightly as she saw him enter the the room with another maid trailing behind him. "Mariah. You are needed in the kitchen. Marsha will care for Lyla from here."
