Marilyn’s POV The library smelled like dust and old pages, a scent I secretly enjoyed even though I never admitted that to Caroline. She was already stacking books in her arms, her blonde curls bouncing as she moved shelf by shelf. I laughed knowing she would never be able to finish reading all those books today. “Take a look at this one, are you sure you don’t want it?” She called out, waving a massive hardcover book titled “ lunar legends and lore” I raised an eyebrow. “ Come on Caroline, you know I don’t go for such.”

It's a true story about a girl named, Mary Rose, who has to deal with her drug addiction and boys. The book interests me. I show Jack. "Out of every book in this store, you choose the one about an addict?" Jack raises his eyebrows. I shrug.

She approached the enormous wooden dresser and started opening each drawer, looking through gently folded clothing and small personal items. She looked through several old watches, ties and cufflinks, but she couldn't find anything useful. She became frustrated. How would he conceal it? Pulling open the drawer, she turned to the bedside table. Once more, just a few pens and some papers. She dug through the papers, looking at a few for reference, but none of them seemed to be of any use. Marie gave a sharp exhale. Her time was running out. Then—.
