CHAPTER 6: ELLIOT'S POV The entire arrangement was completely absurd. I sat at the kitchen table with my laptop open, staring at video footage of our upcoming opponent’s defensive line, but I hadn't absorbed a single thing in twenty minutes. A surrender bet, a game where the first person to fall in love loses everything. It was ridiculous, childish, and completely insane. The very thought of falling in love with Adrian Kessaro, a loud, impulsive, hot-headed brute who had tormented me for fifteen years was mathematically impossible.

I was still trying to erase the image of Malik doing pelvic thrusts from my brain when the words just slipped out. “So… we’re rivals. How come we’re sitting here vibing like this?” The table went quiet for a beat. Malik shrugged. “Why not?” “Because we’re supposed to hate each other.” Damien snorted. “Correction — you and Mason are supposed to hate each other.” I frowned. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

I didn't worry about that though suddenly I found my mate not only mine but a shared one. Then the one who shares my mate is my so-called rival. When I planned something fate planned some other thing for me as I fell in love with my rival and then wanted my omega. When I confessed my love and tried to get my omega, she already fell in love with another guy. Before we resolve things our other side ruined everything thing by claiming our omega forcefully. She disappeared, then appeared suddenly. Again before we beg for her forgiveness she was kidnapped, and we found her almost at the edge of her marriage.

I wanted to see if I really made a mistake concerning the stronger twin. And so I did just that—I agreed. Asher and Dante obviously had bad blood, while Mira couldn't stand the attention both men were giving the woman who looked just like her. It was obvious—yet Kira didn't seem to notice. Instead she was focused on trying to prove herself worthy of being called the mate of the Lycan prince. The rivalry between the two couples was evident, and Mira was hell-bent on tearing down Kira. Five shots down my throat in less than a minute and it felt like hell as my throat burned, my heart aching. "Damn! You are drinking now?" I heard a familiar voice and turned to see Xavier, looking at me with his jaw dropped and then it hit me, it was him. Xavier was not only Damian's greatest rival but also Malia's crush. The same bitch sabotaged her friends, just to have a date with him. I don't know what she sees about him but I am about to find out. I licked my fingers and motioned for Xavier to come closer with them. He blinked repeatedly at me, like he wasn't sure I was the one.

Tears ran down her face from the intensity. A shattering orgasm hit her like a storm. Her whole body tensed and released. She squirted around Marcus while Elias filled her ass. Though regardless, I never would’ve chosen some random, desperate, gold-digging female as my mate. “I have found my mate.” “Who is it?” she hissed, her jealousy so palpable you could almost see her turning green. Her chance at an easy rank climb disappearing in an instant – gone in a puff of smoke – like it was never there to begin with. To be fair, it wasn’t.

She gasped, writhing and moaning. “I don’t like liars.” “I’m n-not…” She grinded against my hand, fucking my finger boldly, her hand covering mine, nails scratching my skin. Giancarlo had all but bragged to me that though she and his son were currently having ‘mild issues’, they were going to wed and merge the Marlow and Conti families, giving him the power he was hungry for. “You’ve learned quite a lot from Boston. From Orlov.” I sneered, my fingers hot from her juices.

I matched the tone he’d used. We remained like that, staring at each other for what felt like forever. Lucian eventually tore his gaze away from me and walked back to his chair. He was now focusing his attention on Zayn. I tried to ignore the way my whole body felt like it had been set aflame. My heart was still pounding loud and fast. It all felt so crazy. “You really think this will work?” He asked Zayn. “Oh definitely.” The beta agreed. “If Tristan gets word of this, he’d definitely be pissed when he realizes your mate is Violet. The one he rejected.”

I snarl as I go around my room, collecting clothes, “I still don’t like him.” “He told me you wouldn’t… that you’ll see him as a rival. He told me... he said that you have nothing to fear, he’s not after your throne.” I raise my eyebrows at her and drop my towel before I pull up my boxer briefs. Mara blushes, but at the same time her eyes twinkle naughtily and she playfully cocks her head at me, while she slides her gaze over my body, taking in every inch. I let her get a good look.
