While waiting, I received a message from Dan confirming the meeting with Greg Combs. After sending Dan a reply, I turned around, ready to face my family, but the sound of footsteps gently tapping the marbled floor made me look at its location and see a familiar figure, Dr. Matt Davis. “I heard what happened today, I heard that Mill died.” “I am fine, I just need to rest,” I reassured him walking to my bed. “What do you mean by that?” He scoffed. “Were close to mill?” I shook my head, pulling off my shoes. “I just met him today.” “Poor guy, I heard he collapsed and died.” I stopped immediately, raising my head. “What are you talking about?” “I heard that he drank too much and collapsed,” he repeated. What was David talking about? Mill didn't collapse, I killed him. “Who told you he collapsed?”

Wait a second, I was still not understanding any of this. “You are going to need to be a lot more clearer about all of this because I am super confused!” I ranted, then I walked towards the door and placed my ear on it, to listen for any sounds. I just wanted to make sure no one would hear me speaking to Davis because that would put me in a lot of trouble. A small sigh escaped from Davis, then he cleared his throat afterwards. “I know you did not just come to see me because you missed me Varda.” He said in a serious tone.

Matt beat me to it, locking his arms around Davi’s neck. “Hands off,” Matt hissed. The girls moved back as the scene intensified. Bobbie’s cousin gave me and the boys a warning glare not to interfere. All of us are ready to take Davis down. “Walk away before I wring your neck, and trust me, I will do it, Boy.” Matt pushed him so hard that his face scratched against the sand.
