A vow of hate
I just had to.
It had been weeks since I dumped the perfume in an old shoebox, and I had completely forgotten about it, but now, something pulled me toward it. I got the box out and took it back into the bedroom, sat on the edge of the bed and slowly opened it. It was still there, in its fancy packaging with “Scarlet woman” written boldly on it. I hadn’t imagined the whole thing, it had actually happened. My shaky hands brought out the bottle from its packaging, and a sad smile graced my lips as I traced my finger along the bottle made in the shape of a woman. I spritzed a little on my wrist, and memories assailed me.
