I want to laugh again, but he looks so serious. “No, Nev, this is not a joke. I’m not human.” I open my mouth to refute his claim, but Mikhail shakes his head and begins to strip off his shirt. “Watch.” I look on in disbelief as his eyes change color and wings being to sprout from his back. Blinking my eyes, I shake my head in denial, but nothing changes. Mikhail is still standing in front of me with his glowing eyes and wings. That’s when a memory rises to the surface─ my dream. I’ve dreamt of this.

We walked in silence until Sasha and Dmitry were out of sight. ‘How are you Misha?’ I attempted. ‘Good.’ He pulled out a cigarette, offering me one before lighting the one in his mouth. I held up my hand shaking my head. ‘Do you mind if I…?’ ‘No, I don’t mind’ He took a long drag of his cigarette before looking at me, I detected a hint of sadness in his eyes as he scanned my face. Although much taller than I was, Misha held a certain boyish look to him still. Tall and almost too skinny with gangly arms and legs, he was still very attractive. Full, dark eyebrows made his grey eyes stand out and the lashes that framed them were long and thick. He had a hint of a cleft chin on his closely shave

"Are you not going to fight them? Are you just going to let them come at you? Because they're hungry, Yana, and they will eat anything." I swallow hard. "Why are you doing this to me, Mikhail?" "Because you're a coward," he says simply. "You ran away. You left me there. You didn't even try to face me." Anger fills my body. Why is he saying all of this? I know it's a dream. I know it's not real. But the problem with this is, I know that this might be something that the real Mikhail would tell me. I look around at the strange non-humans and they are all staring at me hungrily, but I don't move.

He finished with a shrug. Why was I not even surprised that she'll do something like that. Serena was obviously a weak woman who couldn't even defend herself in a real fight, but she has this way of looking at you when she's pissed that makes you rethink who she actually was. "So, tomorrow then?" Mikhail asks. I've almost forgotten I was on a call. "Yeah, sure. I'll send you the location and time" "See you tomorrow. Just make sure you make it out of the house alive" He says and hangs up.

“Are you trying to tell me that you are punching your best friend for a woman you don’t even like?” I blew another breath as I opened my eyes. “Can you stop being annoying so we can focus on the problem at hand?” He licked his lips and that was when I noticed that it was split. I sighed. “Do you get off on seeing me snap? What is wrong with you?” He eyed me like he had a lot to say but held it in. “Just call Ivanov so we can trace it.” We went down to the basement where we had a whole tech room setup. Mikhail was the best I’d seen when it came to technology. He had an obsession with it since we were young and that obsession only ever grew.

Author's POV "Don't worry, your little secret will be safe with me." Mikhail smirked evilly when he heard Leonardo. He knows that he is trying to break the bond between Damon and him but he won't let that happen. The secret will be buried deep inside his heart because he can't afford to lose Damon, the only man in the family who is not a complete animal and now he knows why. Leonardo frowned when Mikhail didn't react to the secret. "Now burn in hell because I have ended your rule."
