Miracle rattled the slips, checking if there were any secret papers hidden in between. But there was none. The second half of the story was gone. "C'mon... Don't do this to me. I have to know the story." Miracle pressed her fingers to her lips, murmuring lines of undefinable words that echoed softly in the dimly lit room. As she chanted, a gentle swirl of white light unfurled from her fingertips, enveloping her hand in a shimmering embrace. Silvery tendrils of smoke swirled into the room, weaving in response to her invocation. They laid atop her mark of divinity on her chest, and seconds later, the bulging veins around her reddening mark began to ease.

Tonight is not for me, but for her. I stepped out wearing nothing but the robe, not bothering to hide it anymore and Miracle gasped softly when she saw it. I witnessed how her eyes and breathing changed. It seems like I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten laid in a while. 'Mark, you motherfūcker, you are the most stupid man I have ever met, but thanks because I will be able to enjoy this feast.' I walked closer to Miracle who was standing in front of the bed, every step was predatory, urging her to run away. When I was close enough, I let my hand feel her shape, her face, neck, until it stopped at the offending tie hiding what's now mine.

The physical pressure was suffocating, her firm nipples pressing hard against my own through the thin fabric of our clothes. CHAPTER 13: THE ADVICE Mira’s POV; I sat on my bed with my legs folded, trying to distract my mind with the small novel in my hand. The words weren’t even sinking in. All I could think about was the pact, Elric’s reaction, the weight of everyone’s eyes in this pack. I'm surprised how words fly around quickly, about me making a pact with Alpha Theron. The wind outside blew gently. I let out a small breath. Then a soft glow filled the room.

Look where that got me! I keyed into every little detail, no matter how meaningless, except the very one that mattered. My lover’s ambition. I shook my head, pushing the regrets aside to focus on the man before me. My expression went blank, giving space for the disgust to settle. All the while, I was cosy in my little dark world; species were advancing. Mutating? Because what the hell is this madness? Are wolves blood-crazed as we vampires that they seek to suck blood now? That wasn't the most surprising of it all. This fat girl who looked absolutely harmless and vulnerable in the mirror was not exempted from this madness.
