I just stared at him, unable to say anything. He introduced himself to me and after a very lengthy conversation I learnt that he was the leader of the group he called 'the Rebel'; That their planet had been taken over by The Force, a group that overthrew the government, killed almost everyone of them with supernatural abilities that refused to work for them and enslaved other citizens. The Rebel was formed to identify those with powers and bring them such that when their numbers grew big they would rise up against the Force and reclaim their land.

His eyes are entirely pitch black, and he doesn’t look the slightest bit bothered even as Vanya chokes and sputters, her shaking fingers desperately trying to push his boot off. “I don’t hit women, Vanya. But I fight monsters and crush them because I can. And you…you’re just another breed of monster. The kind that is destined to die by my hands.” She coughs up blood, struggling to breathe. Her eyes are bigger than I’ve ever seen them, bulging in their sockets. She looks…terrified. Slowly, he moves his feet off her throat, and she chokes. I watch as he crouches in front of her, staring at her with a blank look on his face.

But after a few seconds, he frowned slightly. Seeing his expression, Cristofer became nervous and flustered. He immediately squatted down and took Yohan's hand, saying, “Hi, Yohan. It’s Dad.” Still frowning, Yohan walked around him and asked in confusion, “Dad, do you really have a superpower?” “What?” Cristofer was confused. “Mrs. Moorsum said you are a superhero. Dad, what superpower do you have?” Amused by his words, Cristofer laughed and said, “Only when I need to beat the bad guys can I show my superpower. At other times, I can’t let others know about my superpower and have to keep a low profile.”

“Is it a monster?” Maxwell asked. “Is it Spiderman?” The innocent Aurora guessed. “Kiran, he was resurrected by dark energy, so we need enough light energy to kill him,” Serena warned. “Enough light energy? I’m going to smash him to pieces,” Kiran scoffed. Kiran roared fiercely, and with both his hands raised high, he unleashed a powerful attack against the black-haired monster. Naturally, the monster refused to surrender, so it immediately swung its hands to counter his attack.

However, I knew I could trust Frank and, again, it would be a pretty hard sell to convince someone that I could just 'stop time. "There's the superhero!" Brandon said, bumping fists with me as he passed by to take his seat. I turned to Frank with a content, yet curious gaze. Frank shook his head and pressed a finger to his lips, letting me know he didn't tell anyone. He and Josh also took their seats as Brandon continued on. "The man with the healing factor, the lightning moves and a kick that can knock down a tree! And he's not bad with the ladies." The lot of us chuckled, including Frank. It was nice to see him in a good mood again.
