commented Kayson. Randall let out a sinister smile and said, “You bunch of idiots asked for it!” As soon as he finished speaking, he sent a gush of energy toward Kayson. “Die, kid! You’ll apologize to my son when you go down there later!” Kayson laughed when he heard what he said. “So you know hell is the place where your son ended up, huh?” Randall’s expression changed, and he snarled, “How dare you! I’m going to tear that mouth off your face!”

Priscilla quietly gasped as she looked up to see the man. "I present to you Master Randall of Randall Holdings PLC," Festus proclaimed. Master Randall was in his late fifties with a few strands of white hair sparsely scattered around his well-combed hair. He had piercing gray eyes like his daughter but they had more of a mischievous twinkle in them. He walked over to Nana, gently held her right hand, and kissed the back of the hand. "It's so good to see your radiant face again La Matrona," Master Randall said with a warm smile.

Which was fitting, considering who I was about to meet. Randall opened the door before I even knocked twice. His smile stretched across his face like a blade, polished and lethal. His eyes devoured me, and when I shrugged off the coat, sliding off the disguise piece by piece, he let out a low whistle. “Goddamn,” he murmured, his voice thick with that performative hunger old men use to remind you they still have teeth. “I almost forgot how sinful you look stripped down. Even pissed off, you’re mouthwatering.”

Randall says with a proud tone that is demeaning at the same time. “That must mean he’s the sexiest motherfucker who ever lived.” Ghost bursts out into a raspy barking laugh in my mind. I bite my lip to stop myself from laughing out loud. “Right, well, if anyone would know about work, it would be you, Elder.” I rock on my heels and feed his ego, still not trying to laugh. “So, what’s happening with Silver Moon that you need our help with? I can send a team of guards out tomorrow.”

Randall snorts and grips my arm in his teeth, giving it a good shake, his teeth tearing into my flesh. “I’m sorry, Your Majesty. Randall doesn’t have the same sense of honor I do. It’s been nice knowing you,” the vampire sighs. I’m not going down that easily. I grab Randall by the snout and rip him off of my arm. I’m hoping, if I’m extra lucky, he’s not sporting poison as well.
