Omega Unleashed
A child, perhaps five or six lay unmoving on the cloth, his eyes closed as if he was just asleep.
“What happened?” I whispered as the other pack members began to open their bundles too. A few were adults, but most were unmistakably children.
“How?”
“That’s what we would like to know Luna.” The omega responded. Her face was dry, no tear streaks, but perhaps that was because she was still in shock.
Her eyes as she stared at me were wide open as if she’d seen horrors beyond what I could imagine.
“Why,” she continued, “were rogues allowed to come so freely into our pack? So freely that they stole the lives of our young right under our nostrils.”
