Rowan's POV The warm air of the study filled the air, the soft flickering lamp illuminated the room as the soft flipping sound of papers disturbed the silence. My eyes scanned the scroll thoroughly, unable to really grasp what it meant. “A moon born Omega?” I raised an eyebrow. It said here about an old legend of the Moon born Omega, born once every thousand years, believed to be capable of a lot more than being just blessed by the mood goddess. This was new, and really interesting.

Marcus asked, his voice sounded helpless. Before anyone could answer, it charged. The three of then summoned their wolf Speeds and moved out of the way. For its size, the thing was big. Marcus was fast but unlucky. The monster hit him with its long thick tail and sent him flying. Steve jumped at the monster and cut of one of its ears in a fast move but it only made the monster angry and it hit the alpha just as fast in the chest. The paw of Five Head knocked the wind out of Steve and sent him sprawling towards the edge of the roof. Emma sniped her needles into its head and was surprised that it penetrated the monsters face.

It was an ancestral energy demanding to be unleashed, a force that refused to bow. Suddenly, a guttural growl forced me to a dead stop. Two massive wolves, with mangy fur and jaundiced eyes, emerged from the gloom. They were Rogues—lawless males who reeked of carrion and pure malice. They circled me with the slow, predatory patience of those who know their prey has no escape. “Look what the wind blew in,” one hissed, half-shifting to reveal yellowed fangs. “A lost little Omega. You smell of fear and weakness, precious.”

I was a weapon. I heard a familiar voice behind me, a low growl of defiance. It was Darius. "You think you can outrun me, little Omega?" he snarled. "I am the Blackrock Pack Alpha! You're mine!" I looked at him, my heart pounding, but not with fear. With rage. "I am Rhea Mooncrest," I said, my voice ringing through the trees. "I am the Silverfang Pack Omega. And I am not yours. Never."

“No. They should be going to her. Push them away, Ronan!” Ronan tried. His voice grew desperate as he begged the creatures to turn. To leave them. To attack Calla instead. But the monsters did not listen. Their red eyes fixed on Tanya’s group. Saliva dripped from long teeth. They charged. The first monster leaped straight at the wolf closest to Tanya. Its jaws clamped down on his arm with a sickening crunch. The wolf screamed. Blood sprayed across the snow. He tried to stab it, but the creature shook him like a rag and threw him to the ground.

He would never recover from it. A loud roar sent a new wave of fear through the Omega. The scent of smoke was strong and was suddenly the only thing he could smell. Kyle's eyes widened, and he screamed when a wolf, way taller than it should be, reached its head toward them with its mouth wide open. Kyle watched in horror as the rogue on top of him had his head ripped off and eaten by the black monster dripping with blood. Black shadows surrounded them, and the most horrifying screams came from them. Heat, unlike anything the Omega had ever felt, radiated from the shadows, which somehow had a deep red glow from within.

It couldn't get any worse, but it was better than nothing. "I've got nothing. All this magic is getting to my nose." Tori, the gamma who hadn't joined the rest of the Lycan's pack because she'd lost her ability to stay in her werewolf form for long, bit out bitterly. "You doing any better?" She turned to Marcus.
