A pair of beady compound eyes gleamed menacingly over a dripping, lamprey shaped razer maw that hissed in mockery, its high pitched hiss rising to a high pitch. More monstrosities behind it were emerging from their grott disguised in vegetation, hideously altered titan things that combined boney scything protrusions with tangles of corded musk to create distinct, eldritch composite abhorrations. Much too many for the hunting group of our pack to defeat with sheer force.

"I gave her my word! I told her that she'd be safe, you fucker!" Marco spat blood on the ground. His eyes were blazing with fire. "Spare me the sermon, will you? You wanted a strong, invincible soldier, and I gave you that. I trained her, shaped her, and made her the monster you needed. So do not fucking tell me that you did her any good. You are as much a selfish bastard as I am."

Her body stiffened, and her eyes widened with shock. “Julie, what’s wrong?” Richard, the male nurse accompanying her, asked with concern. Julie didn’t respond. She ran closer, dropping to her knees beside Elizah’s body. With trembling hands, she removed the cloth covering the girl’s face. In an instant, Julie recoiled, her body trembling violently. “Elizah ....” she whispered in disbelief. “This can’t be.” When Julie tried to embrace her, Elizah screamed in terror. “Aaaah! Monster! Bastard!” she cried, shoving Julie away. Her body twisted wildly, her arms protecting herself as if fighting off a shadow only she could see.

"I gave you the chance to prove yourself to me, despite what you did to me in the past. But now you've only confirmed you're a monster. It is over between us!" Her words slammed into me, shaking me to my core. My eyes lit up in shock, I couldn't get myself to say another word. The weight of what I heard left me speechless. Then she walked away, and slammed the door behind her, leaving me rooted to my spot in total bewilderment. What do I do? I dropped to my knees as tears rolled down my cheeks, all I heard were her last words that kept replaying in my head. 'A Monster' 'It's over! It's OVER!'

That would be a lie. As Rei stood and began to unbutton his shirt, I was fascinated with the definition of his chest and abs. I’d never seen Rei without a shirt, and it was a sight to behold. If the timeline wasn’t wrong, I’d say Michelangelo used Rei as his muse before sculpting the torso of David. When he turned, his back displayed a tattoo reaching from shoulder to shoulder and down his tapered back. The markings continued down each arm. I suddenly recalled seeing the edge of the artwork from beneath his sleeves the night we went to the Green Lady.
