Adrian's POV The last two weeks had been hell. No matter which way I turn, there she is. I can smell her everywhere, and the more time passes, the worse it gets. Slowly but surely Monty has been rallying the rogues. Every morning, he disappears into the woods, staying away all day and returning with two or three bedraggled and terrified-looking wolves. I had received no warrior training myself, but some of the rogues used to be Caspian’s warriors and they have enough experience to help me get started.

Monalisa grasped Rosa's hand and tried dragging out of the house while Rosa tried breaking free. Rosa immediately called out to Jayden, yelling his name continuously. Jayden appeared at the top of the stairs and ordered Monalisa to let go off Rosa. Shocked with Jayden's attitude Monalisa became weak and her hand dropped down. Rosa humped at her and walked towards Jayden. She tried linking arms with Jayden who immediately pushed her aside and continued to his room. Monalisa unable to process the situation grabbed her bag to leave, but on a second thought decided to check them out.

Jamie was taken aback. It took him a moment to regain his voice. “What? Say that again.” Wylie’s voice trembled with excitement as she repeated the news and shared what she had learned. “Mr. Monty's ex-wife seems to be ill. It appears that he is remarrying out of a sense of responsibility, to provide psychological comfort to her.” “Well, it seems Monty is quite commendable in this situation.” Whether Monty was good or not, Jamie wasn't sure, but he felt that this decision was exceptionally wise.
