A Stolen Fate
She understands the politics of silence better than most.
The kitchen is rowdy with activity when I enter. One of the omegas is frantically trying to salvage what looks like burned toast while another hovers nervously by the stove. And in the center of it all stands Roxy, her blonde hair pulled back in a messy bun, wearing what appears to be one of my old shirts that hangs nearly to her knees.
"No, no, no," she is saying, waving her hand dismissively at the young omega by the stove. "The Alpha likes his eggs soft in the center, not cooked through. Did you not know that? Do it again."
