Fortunately, I am quick enough to use the pail in my hand to balance my body and save myself from falling. “She’s annoying” My sharp sense of hearing picks up the word said by a girl behind the room’s pillar. I sigh. I make my way out of the pack house when I come across Luna Moria. Alpha Ark’s beautiful prize possession and Blythe’s mother I really don’t know where Blythe got her nasty behaviour, but her mother, Moria, is an angel. Well, sometimes, just don’t try to leave a paw print on her possessions; she gets nasty.

Elaine’s stepmother stood at the other end of the hallway, casting a dark look at me and my hand that rested on the door. This was Elaine’s Mother Gothel, but it felt like I was staring at a different version of mine.

It was already too late for him to turn back right now or regret it. His whole body trembled as he glared at Thalia. "If you dare to touch Samarah, I'll kill you." Thalia laughed. "Acting like a dad, eh? After all the things you did? You're quite laughable. Go on and try to stop me..." she paused, and her hand suddenly raised and choked Roel's neck. "You see, my mother... was a witch. You don't know that you have been bewitched by her and I also bewitched you by letting you hurt your family and plot against them... it's quite laughable."

Mom's voice was like ice as she snarled, "Denise, if I'm so evil, then let's go to hell together." Before anyone else could react, Mom pulled a syringe from her pocket and aimed the needle at Denise's neck. "Denise, you wretched woman," Mom spat, her eyes blazing. "Mary would love nothing more than to watch you pay for your sins with your life."

Something was coming. "We should leave," Luther whispered. Too late. A figure emerged at the edge of the clearing—a woman in a black cloak, her face hidden in shadow. Only her eyes were visible, glowing like amber in darkness. "Alpha Charles Winters," she said, her voice like honey over grit. "I've been looking for you." Every sense told me to run, but I stood my ground. "Who are you?" "The humans once called me goddess, then witch, then monster." She stepped closer, and the grass wilted beneath her feet. "Your kind knows me as The Mother."

Her expression remained as calm as ever, as if death didn't matter to her. "My mother is dead," she said evenly. "All you have to do is enter the house she lived in, and you'll find out everything that happened." Despite being the Human King, Gareth found that he couldn't even intimidate a little girl. Outraged, he flung Ivory with all his might, tossing her several yards away. "If that bitch doesn't show herself today, I'll carve your flesh off bit by bit and feed it back to you. Let's see if she can stand by and do nothing while her child comes to a slow, painful death."

Trapped. Then she drew herself up above him, the last of her authority assembling itself in her frame, and she looked down at him with the full ancient weight of what she was and said the only thing left she had, the thing that had been the center of everything, the thing two centuries of empire had been built around: "KA'VEL SORAN — VEL'THAAN DRAE. KA'VEL SORAN VEL'THAAN DRAE!" I am your mother. I AM YOUR MOTHER.

“The moon goddess then gave Gelert the ability to watch her son grow up, but only on nights with a moon and she could not leave that hill. King Llewellyn, struck with grief, heard her mournful howl every moonlit night until he died. The moon goddess blessed the little prince and his descendants that they would always have strong mothers who would protect their children from anything. Which is why werewolf mothers are so protective of pups.” Electra pointed to where the moon was starting to rise, “If you listen really carefully, you’ll hear Gelert howl.” The whole group was quiet as the moon crested the horizon. A slight breeze rustled the leaves and there was a faint mournful howl in the dis

"No, I don't…" When she lifted her head again and met his eyes, he let out a piercing scream. How could he not, when what he saw was the face of his mother? The same mother who'd been dead for over a decade.

"The evidence in this case is conclusive. We will be requesting the court to impose a heavier sentence." Kyle stood frozen on the side, his face drained completely of color. My mother collapsed to the ground. "Jason… Mom was wrong… I'm sorry… Please withdraw the case, okay? Mom will apologize… I'll kneel if I have to!" I looked at this woman who gave birth to me, raised me, and yet had tried so desperately to destroy me. "Mom, over the years, I've done everything I could. I owe you nothing." I glanced at them one last time, then turned and left with Emily.
