As she walked up to us, she pulled her long dark hair that was dyed Pink at the ends over one shoulder, exposing a tattoo in the crook of her neck next to her collarbone. “Whoa, Danika, you got a new tattoo! That looks cool!” I exclaimed, grabbing her by the shoulders to look closer as she sat next to us in the circle. It was a small tribal piece that almost looked like a shield. It was black but had a shine to it when the light hit it.

I whisper, my throat scratchy to the point where it feels like I’m swallowing tiny needles. I loosen my grip on him and notice the subtle glow of the moon is casting a stream of light upon his arms. I take in the dark tattoos going up both his arms- musical notes. I’ve seen these tattoos before. I shriek and pull away from the warm body behind me, crashing against the wall. “What the hell are you doing in here?!” I yell, clenching my hands at my sides as I sit up against the wall.
