Must Read Books Fiction Novels & Stories

By the time Momma passed I was married with a little one on the way, so my chance for college had passed, too. But I never stopped reading. Got me a nice little library out back, filled with all sorts of books crammed on bookshelves made by my own two hands. Books like Tom Sawyer, Edgar Allen Poe stories, Huck Finn and The King in Yellow, (that last one I don’t read much cause it always gives me strange dreams), some old mysteries, a clutch of Lovecraft’s books (they hurt my head, too, so I don’t read them much neither), my Hardy Boys books from growing up, and a whole bunch of newer ones by Stephen King and Dean Koontz. I huff. He studies the book and also humans, maybe that's why he's as sharp as an eagle. It's all mysterious to me. I glance at the other shelf and there I spot Pride And Prejudice! Really? Can a person who understands science even read such a romantic book? Okay, they can, but what about a cruel person? I just shake my head because I don't want my mind to work on it. It's indigestible. When I don't find anything on the shelves except positive and logical novels, I go towards the left side.

There is much to be said for books. They can help you learn and educate yourself, or they can tell stories to excite the imagination. A book can teach you how to become just about anything. I, however, don’t get to read a lot of fiction. My parents were technology based people. They believed that the best way to learn was over the internet, watching tutorials and videos. Although I do believe this, there is a lot I could have learnt from reading. I’ve noticed there is a lack of emotional connection between myself and others. I missed my mate, my freedom, my friends, Kailin, and everyone at the vineyards. I watched a series about a group of delinquent kids born in space and dropped to Earth to see if the air was already breathable. I finished Episode twelve, and when a particular character pissed me off, I turned it off and went to read something in the study. There were some fiction books, but primarily old books from Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, and Herman Melville. There were self-help and meditation books and a book about mystical creatures. People just exaggerate about the existence of these creatures until now, which would be just ridiculous if I were to be asked. I scanned through more books. Though I'm not an avid reader, seeing all these books in front of me, I couldn't help but want to read them all. They all seemed to hold some kind of history that I just feel interested in. This is a first for me, though because I prefer reading about celebrities rather than reading about some fairy tales and history which are not proven to be true. I was so immersed, going through the books, that I did not notice when someone stood behind me.
